+1. This is definitely a QoL change I want to see.
Another thing will be when you are in cut scenes you cannot commence, this really need to be fixed since some cut scene like those in Hildebrand quest is long and not good to skip. Please let us do the duty and continue the scene when we complete.
Not bad, huh?
In the last 24 hours I have gotten kicked from the dungeon que TWICE thanks to the ridiculously short amount of time they give you. Last night I joined the que as my main class, then switched to an alt. The que popped when I was in a fate, so I took off hoping to de-aggro so I could switch back to my main. The mob followed me halfway across southern Thanalan (which also seems like an issue, since I didn't even tag that mob) and managed to kill me. I desperately released spirit but was kicked from the que while waiting for my screen to load.
But, y'know, it was a fluke of bad luck. I re-entered the que, waited ANOTHER 45 minutes, this time as a fisher.
So today I do the same thing. Same outcome.
I understand that there has to be some sort of time limit to weed out people who afk miss the que pop. But 45 seconds seems a little tight of a window.
(1/2)
(2/2)
I'm honestly starting to feel like there are a lot of unnecessary taxes and restrictions on gameplay here. You have 45 seconds to accept the que pop that you waited 45 minutes for, and if you miss it you have to go to the back of the line. You also can't summon your chocobo to help you out with anything while in a que, which seems silly.
So really, you have to spend 30minutes to an hour of your (paid) gametime sitting around doing... nothing, because the risk of losing your spot in the dungeon que is just too high to do anything else. I'm just not seeing the benefit of punishing multitaskers I guess.
IMHO there's something wrong when most of my guild is playing on their 3ds/watching netflix because they can't play the game while waiting for ques. Most of our guildchat is about whatever game we are playing WHILE TRYING TO PLAY FF.
I'm starting to feel a little cheated by the dungeon system. Especially when you HAVE to complete dungeons to continue the main quest chain
IMO... the way it works now is "as-designed" but the conflict between having to switch classes/jobs before hitting commence is really... irritating. When duty finder pops and you click commence, it should auto change your class to the class you queued as (and remove you from combat to allow you enter)
I've missed out on several Duty's in the past because I've been doing fates when it Duty finder pops and had to run away as far as i can only to be stuck in combat so can't change class.
How it should be fixed requires a change to the inventory system in either two ways:
a) Lock the class gear when DF is started, so that there is always room to switch to that class immediately
and/or
b) Mark DF gear equipment sets, so that "this gear set" is always switched to when "commence" is hit. (eg mark a DPS, Tank, and Healer set)

I agree.
Currently, we can't change class/job while fighting. And you can continue to fight after click on "commence" until you character go to the instance.
We could be allowed to teleport the character to the instance without changing class/job and after that automatically chance to the class you queued (but without CD reset).
asking for a QoL change is always a good idea, the more we have the better. Many should have been standard from the start
