I think this is intentional, they added Rogue with cross class skills, but the way they've got things set up, you can't use any of them on any of the existing jobs. This way they can add new jobs without having to worry about adding cross class skills back into the main classes, possibly upsetting any existing balance. It also means you don't *have* to level up any of the new jobs for cross class skills if you don't want to.

I agree that this will be annoying. Perhaps some of the newer jobs will get more abilities sooner than later to make up for this.




I also I hope they rework the cross class system a bit. For instance I find it very strange that ROG/NIN doesn't cross class from ARC, which has a number of abilities that seem more appropriate to NIN than any other class (ie: Hawk's Eye). Also there are a number of cross class abilities that no jobs can actually use (straight shot and venomous bite from ARC) or are completely useless to every other class/job that can use it (Ruin from ACN).
