    Do Classes/Jobs level simultaneously?

    I'm just about LVL 30 for THM and want to start my BLM as soon as possible. I'm wondering, do THM and BLM level at the same time? So, new abilities for both are unlocked as I level up. Or, is it like with Archer, where that would level up independently of what I did as a THM? If not, I would probably put off the BLM stuff until getting all the best abilities from THM (or would you suggest otherwise?). Thanks in advance for the tips!

    You will start BLM on level 30 and class (thm) and job (blm) level same. in general there is no other reason than for some fun to return EVER to your class.

    you'll notice that xp gained is for THM. BLM is just a job you've taken on.

    Jobs are basically enhancements to classes. For most intents and purposes, including xp, you're still the base class. The job is just layered on top.
