there is a way to prevent this...remove kick option...but most would scream.
You see, it happens because they can, nothing forbid it, nothing made to prevent it, since when someone is kicked for no reasons or abusive reasons, even if reported is none of SE business, so really, is even cautioned by SE.
That means that single players, those that cant devote time to a static, or cant be with their FC because of some time difference or because not at the same level or whatever, will get these kind of attitudes, more and more and more and they are, will be totally powerless.
You, the majority, asked for this function aka kick option to exist, there is no point whatsoever to complain about that option that all wanted. Since there is no control, it will be abused and only some elite will be able to move forward. It is not right that new people cant say they are new because they will get kicked, there is no reasons for anyone to just forbid someone to play because of the way they squint or talk and yes I have seen that too... but alas you all gave it a green light to happen.
Complaining now makes you all hypocrites, it was to be foreseen, it was in the air the moment this kick option was introduced, now you just have to deal with it, is too late.
the good of having the kick option is far less then the abuse that is daily, hourly made of it.

I thought if people enter the dungeon as a party, such as two players together, the light party requires a minimum of three players to make a decision rather than the standard two. I could have sworn that was in patch notes somewhere in the past, although I've never tried to test it. If kick option doesn't function like this, then they should change it.

Wow, just wow.
This is really bad and abuse of the system. I hope they find some kind of solution for this.B.H.A. does not approve this!

A kick in a 4 person dungeon should require a vote of 3. Two friends can kick whoever they like. That's not appropriate in my view.
Problem with this is that it would allow 2 trolls to join togheter and you wouldnt be able to kick them.
In the end if something can be abused it WILL be abused and unfortunaly in this case there aint much to do other then report and hope for the best, if it start happening alot then i guess the option would be to run with friends/FC

I would just leave then. I've been the victim of one kick like this outlined by the OP. It was because the tank thought I should have something else included in my rotation but didn't. And what is to stop two trolls from kicking people for no cause?Problem with this is that it would allow 2 trolls to join togheter and you wouldnt be able to kick them.

Exacly, no matter how you change it your still gonna get trolls.
If it takes 3 votes then 2 trolls can enter same instance and not be kicked.
If it takes 2 votes then 2 trolls can voteick people from group.
They should just make it so that players who queue together only count as one vote. So if two players out of the three who can vote queued together, you would get one "Yes" and one "No" vote. If two who queued together selected different options, it automatically goes to "No". If the total votes of the two players and the one person are equal, the vote kick doesn't happen. This wouldn't hinder genuine kicking since they would be on the same page if it was genuine. Then again, this doesn't work when you have three players who queued together. :/

People should stop blowing this out of proportion. Think about how many dungeons you've done and how many times this has happened to you. I'm probably around 800 dungeons completed and I can count the number of times I've been abusively kicked on one hand.
In addition to that, I can think of more times pre-vote-kick where people would join dungeons or raids and then just go afk right at the start. Before vote kick you could either a) carry that person or b) leave and take a penalty and the only thing that's changed is c) vote abandon.
My point is, no matter what SE changes or does, shitty people are going to abuse the system in order to grief people. I can guarantee that the average person will have more good experiences than bad ones, people just don't come here to talk about their good experiences generally. Take those bad experiences with a grain of salt and just move on, otherwise the trolls win.
