    props for wanting to educate first timers =) though i'm sure the first timers are gonna be busy watching the cut scene to really concentrate hence forming battle plans before entering the instance.. i myself really cant say anything cause i haven't been able to do any dungeons yet hoping i will soon though

    R25 dungeon isn't so bad, its only difficult if you are running it with other r25s, but that's what makes it fun. The R50 dungeon is an entirely different beast. It isn't as free-roaming as the r25 dungeon, but requires a linear strategy.

    all in all, they are both achievable, but i tend to enjoy r25 dungeon more since that's how dungeons should be (Not talking about difficulty, just the overall experience and structure). R50 dungeon is a bit disappointing because the only way to have enough time to complete everything is to zerg the shit out of the first few maps. Yeah, fun right?

    I've never understood this and still don't. What do you mean by "zerging" everything? Attack the enemy with full force? What's the alternative? Have people stand around waiting, like for procs in FFXI's Abyssea NMs? I don't know about you, but I'd rather be hitting stuff than standing around and waiting.

    Yes I do have a My Little Pony sig because I'm not a complete loser who lives in his own little world, proclaiming something is stupid because I say so.

    I want to apologize beforehand for not reading the whole thread before posting, while I agree a LOT with Sol_Aureus, myself being a victim of loving cut scenes AND slightly over-enjoying the dialog (taking a tad longer than others), I'd like to suggest another possible remedy, one that wouldn't halt a whole party if one player feels like trolling or something seriously unexpected happens (accidents and Real Life happen, y'know?) during a cut scene (Again, sorry if it had been suggested already):

    Remember the cut scenes replaying Bard in towns in XI? And the cut scenes replaying goblin? Bring it back. I'd love to just sit down and watch a whole story (in case I forgot parts with all the grinding in-between), or feel safe skipping and then replaying it back in town. Not so much running my butt back to the dungeon like the Goblin forced you to, but just having some NPC to replay ALL cut scenes back in the comfort of town, I'd love.

    Oh, and for the Love of Jeebus, when the cut scene's done, give us a "System Message" that tells us the title of the cut scene.

    I absolutely hope we get this feature again, definitely. I'd love to play back some of the cutscenes I've experienced already, especially when I finally upgrade my pc and can enjoy it with much nicer graphical options =)

    I really really like this idea! It seems like a simple enough fix to just leave the CS as they are and if you have to spam through them then you can watch them on your own accord another time.

    Maybe another suggestion instead of BRDs or Goblin Footprints would be to watch them without logging in completely. By replacing the "Opening Movie" on the title menu with "Unlocked Movies". Each player could have their own personal library of video to view without logging in and being disrupted by shout chat or Linkshell conversation (or having to change filters around).

    Would be a cool way to measure your personal progress through story and quest lines too! Definitely would motivate me more to do my missions and quests asap if I could see stats. Like if I had "28 or 120" videos unlocked or something of that sort. Maybe too console-like for some though ;)

    Brilliant! I would love to see this in action! =D

    .... I just hope they change the weird uh "walking" they do in CS's. I mean really, who walks like that? My character walked normally *once* and that was in the opening CS for the nation of your choice. Otherwise she does this... swaying...half dance thing. o.O;

    But yes... Brilliant. I'd love to see that movie option. ^^

    If anything, there needs an option to just auto-skip cutscene entirely.. it gets old really fast.

    Maybe they should just not add any cut-scenes?

    This really sucks for first-timers. I mean, I haven't even seen any cutscenes in the Darkhold yet and I've ran it 20+ times. I would really like to see them and take screenshots myself but I can't, because it would piss off the rest of my party.

    if your party gets pissed off because you want to actually watch and read the story at least one time then maybe you should look at the people your partying with.. if they cant respect you wanting to watch the story that you are enjoying then they don't deserve your help with said dungeon.. yeah it sucks because its hard enough as is to find a group but you shouldn't have to deal with douche bags even though more often than not its inevitable..
