    Every one of you missed the point.

    "I play a hybrid style"
    "I'm used to the d-pad"
    "It must have taken so much time to make those macro"
    "I cant afford to lose hotbar buttons"
    "Just pres X N+F to filter..."

    You are all overlooking the fact that the basic, default interface for party targeting is flawed.

    The system i designed is flawed as well - I get that. Losing two hotbar buttons is huge for some folks. But if you disregard that loss and imagine targeting moved to the l1/r1 for healing, as it is for dps, you'll start to understand the EXPERIENCE I (and many others) would liked to have had out of the box.

    Dude, calm down. For some your way will be fabulous, others won't care and for others it's impractical.

    It all boils down to personal preference and cleary this is your personal preference.

    I have 8 targeted healing macros on crossbar 3 for cure/physick. Use the dpad for the rest. Really freaks some people out, but it's the system I know well now. I use the right side of 4 xbars and the left side of 2 while dungeoning. Even did a stream to show a FC mate how I use them and she was surprised how fast I was swapping between them. I think xbar set up is just going to be one of those things that is very personalized.

    I'm not freaked or uncalm. Sorry if I gave that impression. I'm just interested in people getting th point - not interested in fluff.

    I'm always interested in seeing macro tricks. Macro info is under construction though? I'd give this a shot but this uses up a lot of macros, no? Or is the numbering just there for visibility and the system itself can be done with just one up and down macros? I use a lot of macros so I reserve one row of macro for every combat class (pic related) so I don't think I can accommodate to this. I don't use /ac macros for gcd attacks as dps but I do use them for the sake of having <tt> and <t> so I can just stick to targeting the main tank and cast attack spells while having him targetted (a sacrifice I'm willing to make in regards to queuing action since I don't do any hard content as a healer).

    One unrelated thing though, I rarely heal and I never really got around to finding a system that works for me for cleric stance. I always wanted a macro that changes the whole bar based on whether the stance is on or off but since there's NO conditional macro command based on whether stance is active or not or even a command to only turn on or off stances, I find it hard to just rely on /chotbar change? I mean from my experience, if for some reason or another you press your cleric stance macro and it doesnt activate or deactivate, the set change still happens and you can be on the wrong set (tried turning off cleric stance but the turning off part didn't take and you're already on heal set while cleric stance is on). I see that you are doing something similar to what I described..does the macro not fail you sometimes? I feel that could be very dangerous as a healer so I decided not to do the same.

    Uhmm... I've had about 2 errors healing on my DS4... in all. I see no issue with healing like that and I find it as easy as healing with a Keyboard lol.

    I've built this exact thing. I have an attack xbar and a healing one. I built a macro that turned cleric stance on and off and swapped to the appropriate xbar. When it worked, it was AWESOME. Loved it. Problem is that ANY lag/latency will fuck it up. >< So I had to deactivate them. I may try again sometime and build in a better /wait time in order to get around this problem.

    Yep, that's why I can't bring myself to use it. I also wish there's a conditional based on class. Something like... If i'm on tank, use marking commands, else if i'm on dps, scream for tp in the party chat, else if i'm on healer, scream for mp in the party chat. Just an example off my head.

    Well, you could put these macros on xbar 4 if you left it as shared amongst classes. If the crossbar set macro would slurp macros from the menu, you could do this exact thing. I tried to set this up for my SCH to change xbar 2 depending on fairy summoned. :/ Dunno why SE won't let us do that. ; ;
