Please bring back the feature to have localization team posts in a dev tracker

I was posting this as a P.S. in my Greinfarr post, but thought to create a new dedicated one instead.

I'm sure I wasn't the only adventurer who liked to have localization team posts in the dev tracker, but, probably to understandably give more visibility to community reps and Yoshida's posts, this feature was done away with, like Eemeefu reported.

So I was wondering: how about giving the choice to us, if we want these posts to appear or not? The localization team sometimes offered additional and new information on certain aspects of Eorzea, and a nice and easy approach with us community members. I think it'd be cool if we could choose to have their posts appear in a dev tracker or not. I, for one, would.

Here are a few examples that received many “Likes!”, where Fernehalwes gave us some nice tidbits:

- More explanations on Roegadyns' names

- More explanations on the void

- More examples of monsters categories in Eorzea


I'd like to have more of those random tidbits, as I'm very interested in the lore and misteries surrounding Eorzea. So what I'm asking is:

1. Introduce a feature that gives us the choice to have or have not the localization team posts in the dev tracker.

2. Alternatively, introduce a new dev tracker dedicated to localization team posts, that could be toggled on or off, so that it doesn't interfere with community reps and Yoshida-san's posts.

*Optional*: Bring back the “crowns” (maybe of a different color?) with the dev team posts in this section. Yeah, there's always the “View Forum Posts” option, but in my opinion the time the localization team invests in answering here should have its own visibility.


I think Option #2 would be the best to have. Would it be possible to implement it?
If other adventurers agree with this, let them hear your voice as well!

P.S.: Haven't seen many dev team posts recently, I wonder if Eemeefu and Fernehalwes are just busy with patch 1.19 or if they went in a jungle Opo-opo party (maybe with Rukkirii included...!) and back to the void, respectively... Well, anyroad, hope you guys are OK and to see you again soon!

And indeed, even though this is their job i hope they didn't get upset with this change...because it was like someone coming here and saying "Hey, i don't want to know about what you guys are doing...your job is not as important as the other dev teams.", which by the way isn't the case.

IMO everything in a RPG is build over 2 pillars...the battle and the lore...since they take care of the lore then their job is just as important as any other dev team! ^^

I would like to at least see the crowns back.

Like I said in the other thread, it's just annoying to have to click all the threads to see what has been replied or not.
Made me sad when I clicked and thought the whole "actually replying to people's threads" thing was over...

Really sorry all the functionality got switched off there, guys. We had no intention of losing the crowns, but that seems to be the quick fix the C&S team went with. We're talking with them now about a couple of options—bringing the crown icons back, developing a LOC tracker, adding filter options to the existing tracker, etc. Hopefully we'll have something up and running in the very near future for you all.

Really sorry <i>all</i> the functionality got switched off there, guys. We had no intention of losing the crowns, but that seems to be the quick fix the C&S team went with. Default filter i guess...so people that don't like localization posts can just tuen them off for good...not only search filter.

Some days I wish I had a webcam feed into the localization office; it's gotta be such a volatile imbalance of spreadsheets and pop culture references. Sounds like a pretty nice gig.
