    visible hotbars per class

now that I have access to more abilities it's great to have more than 2 hotbars visible, but when I switch to my lower classes only hotbars 1 and 2 change to my setup for that class, all others are still visible and with abilities that are now doubled and/or not usable.

I'm wondering if it's possible to have all hotbars change when switching classes.
Did I miss this option from the menus?

I'm not sure if you can set visibility per class, but if you're seeing irrelevant skills, it sounds like some of your hotbars are set to be shared between classes when you're using them as though they're class specific. In character options, you can specify for each hotbar whether it's shared or not. Ones that are not shared should only have skills and actions you've set for that particular class. They should be empty for low-level classes without enough skills to need them yet.

It's just common skills that don't depend on class, like sprint or teleport or calling your mount, etc., that should go on a shared hotbar that would be available to all classes.

    thank you, yes, you're right.
I had the hotbars set as "shared" but once I disabled them it all worked out.

You can also create a macro to hide un-needed hotbars when changing to a gearset(2nd post was debating if this was possible):

i.e if you have Blackmage and Summoner, since summoner needs so much more hotbar space and blackmage less, you could essentially hide the 3rd hotbar and only have 2 visible for blackmage, but since the un-used slots can be hid there isn't really much use for this: But just for the sake of being fancy:

(in the example, gearset #1 is Summoner and gearset #5 is blackmage)

    Changing to summoner:
    /gs change 1
    /hotbar display 1 on
    /hotbar display 2 on
    /hotbar display 3 on

    Changing to blackmage:
    /gs change 5
    /hotbar display 1 on
    /hotbar display 2 on
    /hotbar display 3 off

People need to remember that a healer's job isn't to heal HP
