Remove name from in game search?

It would be nice if we could have something like this, would prevent spamming b/c bots presumably wouldn't be able to find you.

I like this idea. I would also like to be able to remove the ability to see my character in the player search window. This IS how gil sellers find us. The ability to be able to look up anybody based on almost any criteria is remarkably stupid on SE's part. I should be able to look up all the healers, tanks, bards, etc, that are currently logged into my server. Currently, you can do that. This generates a nice list for the RMTs to spam the hell out of.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. If they added a command that would remove us from that list it would solve the problem instantly.

There's a few rumors I've seen in game, not sure if they're true or not (But they seem pretty likely to me at least), that originally when the game came out a lot of the bots would actually make note of your player name, so if any bot had seen your name, then all bots from the same RMT group would have your name on their 'list of people to piss off' as well.

And while I would like to be able to remove my name from the search, I still like the option others have mentioned in the past where if you're set to busy, only friends and/or FC members can message you in game.
