I just want more, different crowd chatter instead of the same one looping for a year.

I also flee when a crowd gets too large and the chatter too intense. I'm not sure I would disable it if I could though... it's kind of cool and no that it's been there for a while it would be weird to be in a silent crowd.

Please make a didable option it's pretty annoying in Mor Dhona.

Seriously, if you don't enjoy the sense of reality ambient noises bring, just stop hanging around in Revenant's Toll. You wouldn't go to New York and start bitching at everyone to shut up so you can listen to the pigeons in peace. It's part of life and you either deal with it or go somewhere else.
I too dislike the crowd noise but like the ambient nose rain/wind/birds etc. an option to turn down or mute crowd noise would be awesome.
No one is playing this game to be reminded of real life, annoyances and all. Likewise, the crowd chatter sounds in game are annoying because it's the same 3 to 4 sounds looped over and over. Going with the "real life" example, you wouldn't hear the same exact sounds that often in a crowded street.

You turning off your voice sounds ruins my immersion! No one is playing this game to be reminded of real life, annoyances and all. It's not the cities, it's the hunts. Even A ranks now are all crowd noise all the time on my server (this particular issue is *worse* when people are being polite and waiting before pulling). It's like an angry mob has come to kill each hunt creature... err, wait, I guess that's exactly it... but still! The mob doesn't have to bring along that darn Lala with the annoying laugh who laughs every couple seconds!People are naturally noisy.

If we don't get a "mute ambient crowds" toggle option, can we at least get a "feed crowd-lala to bear" option? 'cause, you know, that's what would happen. In real life.

I think they could add a little bit more variation to it as well, but otherwise it's pretty nice. It makes going to quiet places all the more rewarding. It's obnoxious sounding, but in a way it subtly pushes you into reacting to it in a way you would in real life.
Immersion successful, if you ask me.

I hate options I also hate people having options that I don't care for.People are naturally noisy.
