When and IF new races come out

I would hope the devs know that introducing a cool new race to XIV, but it not being playable, would kinda be a slap in the face lol... I mean they could have easily done it with Male Mithra in XI, but they didn't. Therefore I find it hard to believe they would here.

I think it's more likely that Yoshida-san meant "playable" races. But since he didn't say that specifically I won't get my hopes up. XD
But yeah, it'd be an epic troll to say "Sure we'll add more races," in a thread full of people asking for "playable" races, and then having them not be so. lol

I will not search for it but I think once Bayohne replied with an answer from Yoshi saying that they would consider the one-time switch option if they add a new race.

In my opinion they should because the nature of the game itself. It's not a game where you pick a class and can only be that one class like WoW where re-rolling is not that much an issue because you level up just 1 class and crafting leveling is a no brainer. FFXIV is really different where you can level every single class of DoW/M DoH and DoL. You grow a lot more attached to your character and can end up spending a lot more time on it to level up everything.

Asking people to reroll and relevel all what one has work hard for would be really stupid. Giving the option to switch race would be the best solution.

I believe they will add "barber shops" in the game to change such features directly in game ^^
