    buff for freshly spawned A mark?

    Most likely gonna get shot down, But seeing how fast does the hunts get nuked, how does defense up buff for freshly spawned A/S rank mark sound?
    50-75% damage reduction for 3-10 minutes After spawn. People jump the mark = dies slower giving people a chance to get a piece of it.
    Not enough Hunters around? No worries! Just wait for the buff to run out! In my opinion that would work nicely.

    Works for me, I don't even bother on my server. Even when I'm in zone I watch it all play out in nearly under a minute. First the 'Inv' spam, then about 20 seconds later 'pulled' 'omgwhyyoupull' then another 10-20 seconds 'dead'. Like hell I'm gonna even bother wasting the gil on tele's when they die that fast lol.

    I don't see any potential for abuse of this once hunts go back to normal again, so I approve of the method if not the numbers.
    Need to be higher incoming damage reduction to have any noticable effect.

    an 80% Damage reduction for 2 minutes should be more than enough time for anyone who isn't slacking off to show up. Even if pulled immediately. You can get about anywhere in 2 minutes if you get proper warning of the pop. Anything beyond that would make Hunts infuriatingly long and annoying. No one wants to widdle a hunt with 80%DT for 10 minutes.

    As compensation. However, they should make 100% of the damage dealt during his -80% phase count toward your evaluation. By this I mean if you hit him and it shows in the log "20 damage", you actually did 100 damage before the 80% reduction, so you would get credit for evaluation for 100 damage, not the 80. This way at least during that phase more people can build up their credit.

    I'm all for making Hunts live a bit longer for people with bad connections or something, but I'm not for completely punishing people who show up first. We all have things to do.

    yeah, because pullers with SSDs are having a totally fair game with, say, PS3 players. Get real. Most A ranks are pulled within the minute they're found. There is no way in hell you can make it if you aren't here already or if you don't have a state-of-the-art computer

    Off to the future. Post 2.6 patch when hunts are no longer relevant to most people. Thread started "can we please remove the hunt buff no one wants to wait 10 minutes for it to wear off" Post 2.7 patch, hunts relevant again to most people. Thread started, "can we please do something about hunts".

    100 stacks of 1% damage reduction. Fading off by 1 stack per 2 seconds after the spawn till 0 stacks or till hit.
    Pulled 1 minute (60 seconds) after spawn? 100-60s/2s=70% damage reduction.
    Pulled 2 minutes after spawn? 100-120s/2s=40% damage reduction.
    3 minutes? 10%.
    3m 20s? Full damage.

    Maybe 3 seconds instead of 2 seconds would be ok too. SE can even put it on the DOT tick timer (3s, if you don't know) to save some "resources".
