i like the idea that tp decay should be determined by mode, since there are alot of other mechanics governed by mode it wont be exploited, class or skill changes in active mode being impossible.

That doesn't stop exploits at all. If you can store TP, what'll happen is that people will build TP on trash mobs in order to start a boss battle at 3k TP. It's an unnecessary chore for the players and may cause balancing issues.
i agree with you Frein, however this was used in ffxi alot and i dont think it unbalanced the game, where there was even a greater chance with the use of magic bursts. Id say it will make some things easier but not really "unbalance" the game.
