As far as I know, Rouse only protects the pet from the status effects that are only mentioned. Any status effect other than what is stated in the description will still affect the pet even under the effect of Rouse. Though, I can't read your mind. I don't know what status effect you are talking about.
Titan-Egi got all the status ailments from Bad Breath while it had Rouse. Are you sure you aren't mistaken? Pacify and Silence still break through Rouse and will cause your pet to be unable to use any actions.
