If anyone has played WoW, you'll know that CT=LFR
And if you understand that reference, you'll understand why it doesn't need an ilvl sync.
Here's a hint....it's because its CRYSTAL TOWER.
LoTA was 100% a joke from its very release. It was a cakewalk, the only hard part about it was getting a group who knew how to play the game.
ST was an even bigger joke. I'm not even going to say anything about it because it has always been laughably easy.
WoD is a nice change of pace though. Yet even it isn't very challenging.
Now explain why we need an ilvl sync for 3-4 patch old content? What would an ilvl sync even do? Make running old content take a few extra minutes?
The only way you'll make LOTA and ST challenging is having it sync to something silly like i50-60, and even then, eh.

Sorry to say that new players will just need to resign themselves to the fact that they are playing catch-up. Because they are. This is content from 2.1, when the maximum item level was 90. Unless you synced LotA down to i90 or lower, it still wouldn't give them a very true experience. It would only serve to hinder the veterans that are being funneled back into there for the weekly quest. The content is outdated. Most players aren't going to be farming LotA for gear in the long term anyway; they're going to take whatever pieces they get in the run they need to advance the story and go right on to Syrcus Tower if they're able to.And you see that's the trade off. The new players lose the experience of what the raids should be, and in doing so don't become any better players as they don't have to learn mechanics but they gain gear faster. So really you have to ask do you want less experienced better gear players or more experienced lesser geared characters?

Neither need ilvl caps because both the Labyrinth of the Ancients and Syrcus Tower are still too hard. How, you ask?
Because people can't grasp the following mechanics and cause wipes because they're so tunnel-visioned on doing damage output.
* NEED TO KILL THE SKELETONS AWAY FROM THE BONE DRAGON
* NEED AT LEAST FOUR PEOPLE ON THE PAD FOR ATOMOS (EVEN IF ALL OF YOUR DPS IS MELEE, YOU STILL NEED FOUR PEOPLE ON THE PAD)
* FOR THE LOVE OF THE TWELVE, DON'T PLANT A COMET ON KING BEHEMOTH'S BUTT
* PROTECT THE COMETS FROM THE IRON GIANTS
* STAND BEHIND THE COMET WHEN KING BEHEMOTH REARS UP AND ROARS
* PROTECT THE POTS
* TURN THE VALEFORS AWAY FROM THE PARTY
* KILL THE CLAWS AND STAND ON THE PADS WHEN PHELEGRATHON (or however it's spelled now) BEGINS TO CAST ANCIENT FLARE
But wait! There's more!
* MUST KILL THE ELEMENTAL EXPERIMENT SLIMES
* DON'T BREATHE FIRE ON THE PEOPLE ENCASED IN ICE. (Well, you CAN, but you do want some people trapped in ice so that you have something to hide behind)
* STAND BEHIND THE ICE WHEN AMON BEGINS CASTING FINAL CURTAIN
* AT LEAST ONE PERSON MUST BE STANDING IN THE GOLDEN CIRCLES
* CHARGE UP ALL THE PADS IN THE SCYLLA FIGHT
* RUN TO PADS WHEN SCYLLA STARTS CASTING DAYSTAR (or whatever her ultimate is called)
I'm sure that there are others whom can point out mechanics that can still cause wipes in these two Crystal Tower stages.

I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

biggest issue i've seen is with bone dragon, with most people being ilvl110+ now and what seems to be many people ignoring the skeletons, he dies before the 3rd wave of them can even begin to be moved into position.
No thanks. No more ilvl syns, though they prob want to raise the minimum ilvl of the Odin trial to i100.

People ignore mechanics because the mechanics aren't punishing. Side effect of the game being super easy.

You'd think that. You'd really think that.
But every LotA I've seen recently people have been so convinced they outgear the mechanics that I've seen adds blowing up left and right against Vassagos and failures of that sequence. I've seen people ignoring Platinals and just burning the boss and then wondering why the hell we wiped when four of them went off at once. I've seen people bitching about the Iron Golem tank dying during Ancient Meteor - because they never killed the IG, and thus it's not safe for the tank to run back behind a meteor (the golem will destroy it and get far more people killed), because then none of the other tanks could be arsed to pick it up and it ran around and blew up all the rest of the meteors and everyone died. Nevermind the nightmare this is creating for newer players in the process when they keep dying because, fuck it, we can totally just have the tail swipe hit 3/4 of the alliance and we'll be fine, right?
You might say that idiots and trolls screwed over LotA, but right now, it's people who are convinced they can actually get away with just ignoring things because these same people are running around in i120 gear.
