Combat Fade - A HUD element suggestion

I do love this feature in newer MMOs and games. It's 2017, surprised this is not available in FFXIV by now.

This would be great! I'd love to fade stuff both during combat(duty list etc) and out of combat (combat hotbars).

I also really want what Jas710 mentioned

This reminded me of an old cool FFXI ui feature I didn't realize was missing from FFXIV. In FFXI, when there wasn't any chat activity, you could set how long it would wait until the chat window slowly minimized off the screen line by line.

If you use the manual weapon draw function you could turn it into a macro.
