    How to fix hunts:

1.) Cap seals at 500/week. After the seal cap, you get items/sol, but no seals. Most will not continue hunting during the week after reaching the cap.

2.) Adjust non Carbontwine/coat prices to be under 500 seals - 400 or so per armor piece. It's a vanity/catch up mechanic, after all. It should take a month or so to get a full armor set for a class.

3.) Carboncoat are priced at 500 seals, twine at 1000 seals. This way it won't obsolete the CT weekly quest. Once twine and tomestones are added to the CT weekly quest, drop the seal price to 500.

4.) A/S-rank (and weekly B-rank) Hunts drop dungeon items and outdated rare weapons (prior adventurers tried to kill the hunt target, but failed and got eaten!) at a 50-75-100% rate and drop soldiery. This is a means for more vanity gear.

Hunts are no longer a zergfest, but are worth doing to catch up or improve current gear. Daily hunt targets are a feasible means of hunting that don't rely on joining the zerg.

It's not griefing if there are enough people there to kill the mark. Why should those people stand around waiting for an indefinite number of other people? They're playing the way the content was intended, which was that the players who found the hunt have the right to decide when they're going to pull it.

I just have a hard time understanding their reasoning with this when hunts earn a heck lot more attention than Odin/Behemoth ever will because the former gives not only vanity (which is insanely overpriced, relative to items), but gear upgrade that can be considered coil gear (carbontwine/coat for ilvl130). Behemoth and Odin only requires you to get a gold rating once to be able to get their vanity items such as the barding or the glamour (and in Odin's case, the armor glamour that can't even be used...) that it doesn't really encourage the players to do the FATE more than once.

HP on hunt mobs was already boosted twice. I do not want to sit for 2 minutes on one hunt mob. This will lead to taking too long on one mob, which in the mean time will cause others to spawn. When these others spawn, people will split up and call out multiple hunts at once. When this happens you will have a mass split of the server killing different hunt mobs causing a lot of people to miss out on potential seals. So now you will have awkward kill times on multiple hunt mobs, mobs spawning at the same time, and split killings all around the server, leading to everyone losing out on allied seals.

    No.

It's griefing when you pull ASAP and then openly mock people who didn't get there in time, which a number of trolls on my server relish doing.

    1. Hunt mobs can already spawn overlapping. 2 minutes inside of an hour is completely insignificant in the grand scheme of spawn timers.

    2. Under the current system, if two mobs spawn with an overlap of each other, there's no way in a FROZEN hell that you're going to get to both of them. In fact, under the current system, you're lucky to make it to one of them.

2 minutes is far from too much to ask and, if anyone doesn't make it there within 2 minutes, it's their own damn fault and they can't complain.

    1. 5 minute wait per hunt, then another 2+ minutes to kill it would cause time issues.

    2. On Ultros where hunts are pretty much monopolized by linkshells, we have a pretty smooth ride when it comes to doing hunts. If we say Cornu first, we go to Cornu first, then the next. While given you do have sometimes where another group will go kill the other, its not too bad.

If you aren't making it to hunts currently its your own fault in my opinion. Most people that complain about hunts are the ones mooching anyways. The ones who actively are searching and are active in the hunt community are the ones you see at almost all the hunts receiving the full credit they deserve. As I said in another post, get better linkshells if you are having problems with hunts.

Where are you getting 5 minutes from? On my server, as soon as your LS announces the hunt, odds are someone has already pulled it.

On Hyperion, we have people who get off on pulling early and then aggressively mocking the people who didn't make it to the hunt in time.

I'm in SEVEN hunt LSs. I actively repost all the time and have macros announcing the posting, confirmation, pulling and death of every hunt mob I fight.

By the time I see a repost on one of these, it's already too late.

If I am in the zone LOOKING for the mob and it pops across the zone, it's already too fucking late.

I can be doing EVERYTHING in power to hunt these mobs and I'm still screwed over if it pops away from my location because it'll be dead when I'm only halfway there.

There is no player-made solution to this problem. Public shaming does nothing, nor does keeping early pullers out of hunt LSs because GuildWorks and other similar sites do the same thing, only better.

The ONLY solution is scaling HP for hunt mobs. Then, everyone has 2 mins to get there and if they miss that window, it's no one's fault but their own.
