No seriously, Hildibrand IS the Justin Bieber of FFXIV content, cheap, stupidly popular for reasons my adult (classically trained in music btw) brain can't fathom.

Hildibrand is more akin to the Three Stooges than Justin Bieber. And a lot of adults loved the Three Stooges in their time (which was LOOOONG before Bieber existed). Slapstick is just another form of comedy. It is no better nor worse than any other, just an alternative. Some people laugh at sitcoms, some people laugh at stand-up, and some people laugh at slapstick.

And just to let you know, I too am classically trained in music.

I'm an adult. I play classical piano and guitar. I find Hildibrand hilarious, though I can see why some may not find it amusing. The trials are a lot of fun, if a bit gimmicky (I'm looking at you, Dragon's Neck). I do agree with you that the trial roulette shouldn't be gated behind the Hildibrand quests, though.

Somehow just thinking back to the Hildy quests makes me smile.
I would say that some of the characters within the Hildibrand storylines, namely Godbert "The Hammer" and Julyan um, "The Skillet", and more amusing and fascinating than most of the "main" characters.
We really do need more of Hildy's family, and more cases with Hildy and Nashu.

Its just fun. Just simple, silly fun. And of course we have the Gilgamesh fights. The music is nice, with amusing mechanics that still require some attention. And then we have all of the "expository banter."

You just know they have to have another season of this. They can't introduce Hildy's mom in the last episode and NOT have her part of future escapades!

They're bringing him back. They HAVE to, its like the only good story. Honestly I know I'm probably not the majority but the main quests I often find myself skipping while the Hildi quests I pay attention to and watch all the scenes.

The main quests to be are all, "chosen one!" ...."I'm coming!" ...."chosen one! Please you have to collect this pointless object and deliver it for me!" ......."I'm coming!" ...."chosen one!!!" .....-gets hit by tiny net-

I wonder if Hildy has any siblings..? I bet they would be like the Armstrong family from Fullmetal Alchemist! I hope he comes back I really enjoy the quests they're so fun.

Yep, hildibrand is by far some of the best content in this game so they have to make more.

Also one thing i would absolutely love is for the hildibrand to have a family gathering during some kind of major holiday....oh the chaos.

I fully support it and I want to see more Hildibrand.

Its hilarious, it fits in Final Fantasy from other parts of the series that make you smile with other clever call outs while providing a fantastic, but funny, side story that isn't all super serious. I really love the content and would definitely want to see more of that with the main stuff in 3.0.
