I think you missed my point. Neither option is "fair". It's unfair to ask the people already at the mob to wait till everyone shows up when "everyone" includes people with slow rigs that were off doing their Ixali dailies and heard about the call late. It's equally unfair to ask players on PS3 and slower computers to upgrade simply in order to hunt.

Which, is not as intended...I mean I am positive SE didn't design this content to be WHM/Tank specific...everyone else too bad. So once again, the community trying to dictate how others play, and not the actual design of the game. And no, I'm not disagreeing with you, just used your quote as an example (one of many) where the community itself has taken hunts way above and beyond what they were supposed to be.Or maybe people should reconsider what class they hunt on. The way it is now, DPS classes are just about useless in hunt parties. They generate the most damage and the least amount of aggro, so the mob dies faster and they get less credit for it overall. I've actually seen hunt parties specifying tank/whm only (yeah no love even for sch).
To be frank, don't people with slower load times/rigs actually benefit more from pulling when less people are in the zone. 1. Your chances of seeing the mob are muuuuuch better. and 2. Your chances of getting credit for your efforts and not having lag dictate what the server did and didn't process from your end would also raise your odds. There is a big difference between HDD and SSD...
Not only spawn time, also teleport time, so you are suggesting us to force upgrade our computers just to get to the location faster?
Life is not fair, but you should not argument like this...
Isnt gaming some sort of enjoyment?
Again though, the argument of 'hey, it takes forever for my screen to load from tele, then for my mount to pop up, then for me to ride out/see the mob etc....implies you were no where near the mob and/or actively hunting it in the first place. So again, why do you deserve full credit? (Rig notwithstanding). If you are only rushing out because you saw /l 'hunt mob here' or heard it on TS or something of the like, you really don't deserve full credit. The bloke who first was there...and the first people who got to it do.
It's called HUNTING. Not 'wack a mole'. You're supposed to actively look for the buggers, not be told where/when to go.
Furthermore, people with lower-end rigs, it's likely that they really didn't see the mob and 'facepulled it' but then it turned red/purple/etc and well the rest is history. Once people start attacking it in masse, best to attack yourself and move on. Yelling at people though, and shamming blacklisting etc really needs to stop. It's pointless, and technically, as far as the rules designed by the devs go, its an open claim, anyone can pull it. So they are NOT being rude/playing against design...at least not any more rude than the people who expect them to wait starring at the mob until everyone interested arrives from every nook and cranny in Eorzea.
And while, it'd likely make the situation worse, in some respects I wish you could only get claim only if you/your party/alliance initially tagged the darn things....at least then this whole 'wait for me' crapfest would stop, and people would, you know, hunt. (Yes I know it'd cause many other issues, but geez...either way, it's lose-lose).

No where in the actual definition of the word 'Hunt' does it say 'sit and wait in the comfort of your own home/town while other people look for the action...then tell you where it is and wait for you to show up to enjoy the kill'. Nor does it say 'you should wait for everyone interested to find the bear...and make sure to divide it up equally.'

That portion of the Post wasn't directed at you specifically (Whether it applies to you or not). Just the whole you Oozing with entitlement part because you know...you asking " what makes you think you're more entitled to things than everyone else? what makes you so special? " Yet you're saying/agreeing that "Everyone" That is already at the Mark should wait some time for you and those who aren't at the Mark (For Whatever reason it may be). I mean you would think that someone basically accusing others of thinking they are Entitled wouldn't be in the position of appearing Entitled themselves lol. Now I ask you...What in the hell makes you so Special that EVERYONE at the Mark should even consider waiting and risking getting lower rewards just so you can have a chance at getting the rewards ? Im doing hunts now as I post and I can tell you right now, the already existing Zerg is working against you :/ (Every Mob is learning the Instant Vanish You no targetting Skill)
It is also not fair that those who put in effort (through whatever means) to upgrade their computer so they can avoid slowing down, to have to slow down/wait because of others who haven't (For whatever reason). Im in the Category of not so great equipment (Decent), but still I can't be like " Yo slow down and wait pls because I didn't upgrade my computer (Enter Reason here) so it can't go as fast as yours "There is a big difference between HDD and SSD...

not everyone plays on a pc, a pretty large chunk of the playerbase is ps3 and ps4
lets see how many people are willing to upgrade the hardware on those

Methinks you may be playing the wrong game.

I don't get the problem here... if people want to play in a way that goes against the norms set by the majority, then why do they care what that majority thinks of them? The OP should just filter out anything that's not FC or LS chat.

Game specific mechanic > Mob mentality
I've been losing interest in both hunts and progression due to early pull mentality, the ragefests, and the seeming necessity to do hunts for easier progression of gear. I've missed a few hunts thanks to early pullers even when in the same zone hunting, due to the distance i've had to cover to get there with no other option. It's one thing to miss out when you aren't actively hunting and have to teleport to the zone, but missing out when you're in the same area is kinda unfair. I'm not even pissed, i'm just disappointed in SE's choices.
