I think people that are impatient and ruin it for the 40 people incoming need to end."The Hunt Public Shaming Needs to end
Every time i see someone get public shamed by someone on my service for an "early Pull" they it ticks me off. "
It has not always been this way. Until recently with the Carbon for seals addition, groups were organized, called pull times in public chat, and usually stuck to those times. Those pull times were re-posted in the hunt shells. This prevented people warping into zones and wasting a lot of time running to find that some person that obviously needs to switch to decaf started the fight 2 minutes early.
And its not always the same person doing the shaming. My two Hunt LS's have even started blacklisting people that pull early on a regular basis. So feel free to call anyone you want a 'prick' because I nor the 500 people in our shells will hear you anymore.
The answer is really simple and I can't believe nobody has suggested it.
SE just needs to make A and S ranks invincible until everyone currently logged in has responded to the hunting ready check with either ready, not ready or not hunting.
That's just ridiculous now that I think about it. Some people could be afk. So then certain hunt LS guru's need to be assigned as the official ready check people and the hunt mob is invincible until all of those people ready up. I'm sure there are several people who hate "early pullers" would love to be on that official ready check team.
Also, so many posts that call "early pullers" trolls and just doing it to grief you .... I would actually have to give a crap about you to be trying to troll you. I pull when I'm ready to pull because that's when I'm ready. I might wait, I might not ... depends on what kind of cereal I had this morning and you'll never know!

I did but it was buried in rage. In fact, I even started a thread on suggesting the change a few days ago...

Nevermind the fact that Hunts were designed to be killed by a specific amount of people and not a hundred people zerging them. As soon as the minimum is reached, there is no early pulling. That's a concept based of Argumentum Ad Populum and it's frankly quite idiotic to push that concept on everyone.

Love all the comments here from the "pro early pulling" crowd that early pulling is all a matter of "I wasn't there in time." :/
I was home sick from work yesterday, so I had the rare chance to do some hunts during the day... and what I observed was very interesting (and relevant to this thread).
First of all, hunts were totally awesome until about 2 p.m. PST. People were calling out hunt locations, then being patient enough on pulls to allow more than enough time to get there. Because of this, people were roaming zones, marks were being found faster, and far fewer people were leeching at the tele crystals. It was, in a word, pleasant.
Then came 2 p.m.-ish, and suddenly there was one summoner with a titan egi who just started pulling almost as soon as he got to the mark. Every. Single. Mark. I was fortunate to be in a party with some very good hunt intel -- and, admittedly, I had to stop searching zones so much and stay centrally located in order to reach the marks on time -- so I didn't personally miss out on any marks. However, as soon as that smn joined the hunts, everything went to the crapper. More people started sitting in zones waiting for calls, fewer people made it to marks before kills, and suddenly the nasty /shouts began (that didn't exist earlier in the day).
And about the shouts, it was hardly the "public shaming" described here. The opposite, in fact. One or two people would say something like "Really???" or "Who pulled early?" And then, like five other people (I'm assuming the friends of the early puller) would jump all over them in /shout, basically laughing at them and taunting them for missing out. So most of the nastiness was from the people who were "defending" (for lack of a better word) the early puller.
Fun times.

The kids get out of school and the trouble begins. That timing is almost impeccable. The hunts improve drastically once they are hauled off to bed. So prime time hours are the worst when they are all there making trouble.

So this means you are essentially raging with children? lol
I don't get all worked up. There is no raging involved. You identify them, tell them to stop, and if they won't, get everyone to blacklist them. It is all very simple. No one needs to stoop to their level with naming calling, verbal abuse etc. Get the hunt groups to hold their fire and their corpse on the ground is usually good enough.
What is clearly obnoxious and not helpful is forum lawyers insisting on the letter of law, but they have no means to extract that pound of flesh without a drop of blood, yet they insist the troublemakers have full rights to grief everyone else, and a carte blanche to cause mischief.
