Who is Aurora and what are you about?
Aurora is primarily a social Free Company that has a raid team dedicated to clearing cutting-edge content. We were founded in early 2014 to create an environment where people could hang out with their friends, clear content and avoid the elitist culture that usually comes with a progression environment. Since our foundation we have cleared all turns in the Coil of Bahamut(Before they were nerfed) with our progression team and have helped countless social members learn these turns with us so that they may experience this content while it is relevant. We have a wide-range of experience levels in the Free Company so there will always be someone to party with, answer questions or provide assistance.


Potential Social Members:
Aurora always welcomes like-minded individuals into our community as social members! We provide an unparalleled environment to enjoy the company of your friends, relax, and play great games! We have no level or experience requirement for social members! Gear and fight clears come with time, we focus on the character of the individual when screening potential recruits. No application is necessary for social members! Just speak with an Officer so that we may determine if you would be a good fit within our community!

How active is your community?
We run roulettes, primals, and farm runs daily! There is almost always something going on during prime time EST! The majority of our members are located in the North American region, with several members from European time zones.

What makes Aurora unique?
-Drama Free Environment
-Battle Exp buff is active Monday-Wednesday, Crafting buff Thursdays, and raid buffs Friday-Sunday! (Free Company Actions)
-All Members are 18 or older
-We do not rage. Period. If you are struggling with a fight or do not understand mechanics, we are always willing to take the time to teach you!
-Our community spans multiple games so that you will always have great people to play with. Our flagship community is located on Final Fantasy XIV but we also play Destiny, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, and other games on Steam.

What voice program do you use?
We use Teamspeak 3.

Current raid positions available:
Immediate Opening(s)
One Monk or Ninja I182+

Raid Schedule
Friday and Saturday: 8:00-11:00PM EST
Sunday: 7:00-10:00PM EST
(No more than 3 days for 3 hours, or a total of 9 hours a week.)

Requirements for potential RAIDERS ONLY
-Positive attitude.
-Ability to communicate clearly.
-The ability to listen in on Teamspeak, Microphone is a plus!
-Previous raid experience is a bonus. (T5, 9, or 13 clears pre-nerf will set you apart.)
-No elitists or bad attitudes. We're all friends who have been playing together for months here. Yes, we want to clear content, but when *it* hits the fan, we're still family and will act as such.

Loot Rules:
- Need > Greed except for the following circumstances:
- Tomes/Upgrade items - Each person is allowed one of these until all raid members have obtained one. As an example, if a Sand of Time drops and Billy-Joe wins, then Billy-Joe would be unable to roll on another Sand for 7 weeks or until the other 7 members of the raid team have obtained one from Coil. In this instance, however, Billy-Joe could still roll on Tomes and Oils as they are separate and each have their own lists but are done in the same manner.
- Each person is permitted to name one job as their "Alt-Job" job. When an item goes to "Greed" then the people with that class as their named "Alt-Job" may roll Greed on it. If there are no "Alt-Job" for that item then it becomes open Greed. For example: If a DRG Spear drops, then any Dragoons would have first dibs. Then if one person has it named as their "Alt-Job" they would gain priority. The third spear would then become Open Greed.


What to Expect from your Application
-As we are primarily as social/family Free Company, you will first undergo an individual screening to see if you would be a good fit in our community.
-We will work with you to make sure your rotation and stat priorities are accurate.
-Upon approval after a screening + raid performance test, Free Company membership is mandatory to reserve a permanent slot within the raid team.

Everyone in the Free Company understands that real life comes first and we have zero issues with this. If you cannot make a scheduled run, just give an Officer prior notice. The sooner the better so that we may have time to adapt.

Attendance Policy:
-Three "No-Shows" or absences without Officer notice from a scheduled event will place you on Probation.
-One "No-Show" on Probation will flag your slot for replacement.
-If you have an emergency and there is no time to notify an Officer then contact one as soon as you are able to ensure the absence is not listed as a "No-Show"
-Demotion from the raid team does not constitute removal from the Free Company and you will still be welcomed as a Social member.
