Lunar isn't the color, its just a description, at least that's how I think of it. If it was "royal halter, and royal tanga" would you be arguing that "royal" is not a color, or would you think "these are bathing suits that are royal" Now if you were like "lunar bathing suit doesn't make sense as an adjective in anyway" I would of agreed with you. Unless they tie it in like "this material came from the moon" or "it being shiny grey reminded the devs of some shiny metal crap on space ships" I have no clue why it's called lunar, but it doesn't have to be a color.
