Medura, I thought I had read around quite a bit, after I read the mentioned rumor in one of the main fan-site fora. Evidently I didn't read enough. :-P

However, to mend my ways, would you mind posting a link to the Lodestone page where these rumors are contradicted?

Hopefully for summoners summons won't be just a one-time attack (Like magic for them) so I don't get tempted to yell "PERSONA!"

Dev somewhere left a post saying (in the chocobo thread?) that they are looking into giving players more then chocobos for pets and they said job specific pets, not sure if that means summoner OR that different jobs get job specific pets... In any case pets of some sort are probably on the way if not for the sole reason that people love them.
