...are they correct? Is it true that Final Fantasy XIV will definitely not include any pet or summoning classes? I was hoping they meant no pet/summoning for a while...! I left my Summoner half-way leveled in FFXI, thinking that I would be able to retake the job-type in this game. From my perspective, this would be an enormously frustrating limitation for the game, if it were so. What about Puppetmaster? Or Beastmaster?

What exactly has been officially said about this, if anything at all? Developer, or moderator feedback would be greatly appreciated.

And what does the player-base think about this issue? In case the rumors I've heard are correct, should we start a petition for the inclusion of said class types?

Also, would it be possible for anybody to provide web links to what everybody (but me) seems to know about what the devs have said on this point, please?
