Dungeon Etiquette

Hello all,

I'm still a new and inexperienced player. I've only run the dungeons through Haukke Manor. My question has to do with loot. When there are chests in a dungeon, is it first come first served or does the item in the chest wind up available in the loot notification box? I don't think I've ever gotten an item during a run and I understand that dungeons are prime areas for upgrading weapons and equipment.

Whenever a chest drops an a consumable item, it is given to a random player. When a chest drops an equipment item, there are 3 options that all players in the party can use to roll for the item.

Need will give you first priority on getting an item. This option is only available if you are playing a class that falls under that items equipment requirement.
Greed will let you roll for any item, but will be second priority to Need.
Pass means just that, you opt out of the item roll.

When you roll for an item, you receive a number from 1-99. Whoever gets the highest number gets the item. However, Need will always beat Greed.

Since you're starting out, just roll Need or Greed on anything you can get your hands on. Even if you can't equip an item you can save it for later use or trade it into your Grand Company for seals.
