Pass Loot After Lot

This has been brought up in a couple different threads on other need/greed/pass topics but to me is important enough to get general opinions on.

I think the ability to Pass on loot after you have already lot on it is pretty much a no-brainer. To me, this is something the devs really should look at implementing.

However it is possible that I haven't looked at all sides. Does anyone have any reasons that this should not be a thing?

I agree with this. There's been plenty of times I've accidentally lotted and won something that someone else needed and I feel like a total a hole.

Third this. While I haven't run into a situation yet where I would need to do so, I've run with a couple people who wish it was there, would have helped them. Specially on WoD lockouts.

I agree totally. Why isn't this available right now? Accidentally lotting on things happens often, especially when there are two or more items in the loot pool. Someone has 2nd item highlighted, goes to hit greed/need but right when they do that, first item drops in someone's inventory and now the 3rd item becomes 2nd item and . . . oops.

Or I have lotted on items in coil because "OMG something for my job!" But then I look at it and realize I don't want that and should let someone else who may want it have it.

I needed the Nightmare whistle after I already used mine...... I felt like a douche .....and its a daily reminder ......I can't sale it for x amount of gil to the vendors lol I'd feel dumb in lets say like 5 months they put them on the MB -__- but still I feel like a douche

I'd love to see this implemented. I can't count the amount of times I've absentmindedly lotted on something, whether need or greed, and then figured out that either I already have one or someone else needs it more than me, and I'd have loved to pass it for them. So yeah, we're not all dicks and douches for lotting here...we just make mistakes and then feel like awful people afterward.

The devs actually replied to something similar more than a year ago and it basically boiled down to "Nope."

One of the first things we are looking into doing is adding a system so information is displayed in the chat log regarding who lotted on an item.

We've received a lot of requests to make it possible to pass after you've already lotted on an item, but due to the current system as well as prospects for the future we do not have any plans to implement this at the moment....
