    Grand Company Quests

So I joined my first Grand Company shortly after turning 20. I quickly realized there are company quests and I started doing them.

They seems to be unlined the story line or class quests that only occur every few levels as I've taken multuple level 21 quests.. they only seem to give 4000 ish EXP and gil. I wold of thought seals would be the reward.

What is the point of this quest line? Is there a significant end quest if I follow it that gives me a nice reward? At this point I would be much better off just questing without them as they seem to be tedious.

Any insight? I tried gogling it without much satisfaction

Yeah there are certain quests you need to do from your GC to do a few optional things in the end. One is ranking up in GC, other is being able to participate in hunts(iirc you need to be highest rank available atm to get credit on hunt marks), I believe one of the dungeons for the relic requires doing some of them as well(or atleast is part of that chain. I believe getting a personal room in four FC house besides the permission setting also requires the current highest rank. You can trade GC seals for certan crafting items and other things. You also get your chocobo based off of GC seals and I believe unlocking the ablitiy to have it fight alongside you. I'd guess some PvP might be locked behind a GC rank as well.

When I joined the guild a quest came availble at there head quarters for me to do and it had the same outline as my storyline and class quests it was like run an errand as a new member quest and it just contines.. I've don't 10+ already..and I am just get into the level 22 ones.. I am not reading the content, but every once it awhile it has me report back to the head quarters or talk to the guild guy who gave me the first one..

I do see at 50 there is another quest to grab in the head quarters but I am not 50 yet..

You obtain seals by your hunting log, the delivery option, DR guildhest and fates mainly. In general the GC quests "force" you to do some optional dungeons of which you want to do some one way or the other for lvl 50+ progression. The ranks give you the higher you get the possibility to get fast good gear at GC vendor.

You surely need to do the My lil chocobo quest where you get for 2000 seals a choco licence from GC (unlocks also all other mounts) else youll always "stroll" from point to point.
The chocobo as fight companion tho isnt linked to GC its a quest at camp tranquil but you can only do after the GC choco quest complete and its for lvl 30+.

About hunts... you can do hunts without max GC rank means you get allied seals even if not officially unlocked while killing S or A ranks and the Hunt Billmaster is also available either way. Though you will lack the option of the weekly/daily hunts which are fast and easy seals.

So in general you wont lack TOO MUCH on level 50 except some crafting materiel, glamours, the keepers hymn (respecs your attribute points), the crafting and gathering xp boosts and iirc the bombard core for atm final relic stage is also max GC rank.

I recommend either way to do GC along with story it gives you some XP and on the other hand it spares you some work after you hit level 50.

You did way better than me, I couldn't find GC quests anywhere in headquarters when I joined, even though I the NCP made reference to them when I joined.
One told me that I qualified for more advanced quests at one promotion.

The only GC quests (if you call them that) that I found were Levemetes, Hand-Ins, and crafting.

Where do you find the GC sidequests? (I joined Maelstrom, by the way)

I think the quests you're talking about here are just the next part of the main scenario storyline. I see on the Lodestone that you joined the Twin Adders. Well, it just happens that the next part of the main scenario after joining a Grand Company is to help out the Twin Adders (regardless of whether that's the GC you joined or not), because the Twin Adders requested assistance from the Scions. The Adders and Scions are both interested in what's going on with the slyphs at this point.

That would be random luck I guess. I haven't see any new story line quests so I guess that makes sense.. Also starting in one area and joining a grand guild in another area did mess me up a bit, but I heard it's better to join the one your friend is in for war fronts later..
