They almost always say tank, yet often times for main scenario I will have 5 min+ wait for tank, then instant as dps. I often get 2 mins or so as tank in low level, then instant as healer...

How does thing work? Does it say tank just because or is there some method? Even when tanks aren't what sin demand it still only rewards them. I main a tank so its typically alright, but I feel it should reflect whats actually needed at the time, and I would gladly switch to that as I have everything geared, like the fast queues, and that helps people out more. Same happens in trial roulette.

There's probably some discrepancy because at any given instant there may be two or more people queuing or dropping out of the queue. Since they most likely don't update the interface in real time, I wouldn't be surprised that you get no healers when it says it needs tanks, because some other tank had joined just before you and snatched up the last healer.

There's also the case when two roles are missing people simultaneously, then most likely it will ask for tank first simply because it looked at the tank queue first.

The "Adventurer in Need" info refreshes every fifteen minutes or so, just like the Average Waiting Time information.

If it is the average of missing members and not siply the need then the tanks and heals will always have a greater in need status.
Example: 3 premades queueing for the same duty, A only missing a dps, B only missing a healer, C only missing a tank. While no group is going in without the missing member depending on the duty:
    A role % need is 50, 25, 20
    B role % need is 100, 50, 50
    C role % need is 100, 50, 100

The true need is a wash but the calculated need favors tanks, based off the census data of percentages of players of who plays what, I am ok with this as a primary dps.

As others have said--Yeah, there's a bit of a delay for it to update, and if two roles are close it can flip flop.

What I've done... if I get instapop as, for example, a healer, but it says tank (Or in some very early morning DF oddities, DPS) is in need... withdraw, wait a bit to see if it changes.
