about A and S rank hunts patch 2.5

There are many overgeared players hunting often now, that S and A rank monsters are being killed in a very short amount of time (15 seconds to 1 minute).

Many players don't get rewards because they have nearly no time to join the hunt because of loading times and "early pulling".

Here is a suggestion to Square Enix: Double or Triple the HP of these monsters to give players more time to get credit in these hunts so they may have a chance at rewards.

Discuss voice youself how you feel about hunts!

ps: This forum thread is meant as a suggestion only, not to offend or complain so we can have more fun at hunting thank you for reading all.

Players are about 20% or so more powerful due to ilvl increases when they fought hunts in 2.3 so they die faster.

Even better: apply some coil/crystal tower fight mechanics to crush the zerg mentality. It will also address the lamentations about those who gear up solely through hunts and stumble in endgame content.

I wouldn't mind if Hunts were more frequent if it means they are much more harder to kill. If hunts are this packed, adding more Hunt NM's that are stronger than the current selection. Or Hunt NM's that summon a bunch of underlings to aid it (like in the Eyes Have it, style of fates.) could help slow things down.

Here's a better suggestion...stop putting upgrade mats for endgame raid gear in hunts, put it in whatever casual 24 man raid we have at the time...in this case, World of Darkness.

That's not better, it's pretty silly to be honest given hunts take place in a non-confined space with people of many different ilvls and skill in an open world environment (some actively hunting and others doing other things nearby) instead of a space designed for the sole purpose of making those mechanics work.

Simply increasing the health IS a better solution than what you proposed. It is also nonsense that people stumble into endgame content from hunts or at least in how overblown such matters are among the elitist and egotistic raiding crowd, you have to unlock each variation of coil for example by clearing the previous version. Most people do not 'stumble' into final coil, they work their way up to it still in most cases with only some exceptions from those who paid for clears or got carried.

That is more than enough of a barrier to this so called stumbling into endgame which you speak of, you also have the ability to kick bad players or make your own pre-made groups for such endgame content so there is no major negative effect in the long run outside some elitists bruised egos that content is being made more friendly to not only the casual crowd but also those in between the casual and hardcore.

Hunts dying too quick is a problem but increasing the health and by proxy the time takes to down it resolves that specific problem as both are related to time, time to kill it of which time is increased by the amount of health it has. You do not need to stick pointless and quite silly mechanics into it when such an obvious and simple solution already exists they could implement. The simple solution is often the best solution and the simple one is the best in this case.

This thread is back! I missed it from 2.3. Anyhow a increase in HP would help, but it can't go up too much. These zones have limitations to the number of players. If everyone had more time to zone in too many wouldtrickle in over to long a period of time it could cause crashing. Altho I "thought" SE placed limits on the number of players that could get into a zone. I never seen this limit In action. Really they should of buffed up daily marks more as well. Been waiting on undertaker fate in drybone for about a hour now. Oh wait, was that one of the fates SE reduced the spawn time on in favor of atma fates? wooops..
