    They're really not scaled at all. An overall increase in difficult for hunts is needed if they were to work properly, at least on high population servers, since I can't really say how the're currently doing on low pop servers. The time window between finding the mob and pulling it is already small, and the fact that they're burned quickly doesn't help that the hunts are only helpful to a lucky minority which happens to stumble on the mob or to be close. I surely hope for a fix soon, for hunts to be a viable option again.

    Hunts were originally designed to be tackled by smaller groups, not the entire server. You'd get a group, go out and hunt an enemy and defeat it. They were working "properly" in 2.4. But once again, someone decided that people just won't do the content they added in if there's no "acceptable" reward from it. So they threw in the upgrade items again.

    When the content was first announced, it sounded great. Then we saw the execution and I avoided it. It's not what I expected, and I dislike meaningless zergs. Then 2.4 comes, and the rewards are less (but still fine for me) and fewer people are involved. This was perfect. They were far more fun in 2.4 because they were done only by a few dedicated players. Come 2.5, and the same crap that happened in 2.3 is happening, except it's even worse than it was then.

    I'm all for trying to get people upgraded to catch up, but it's not quite catch up period just yet. I'd have left that for the last month before Heavensward is released. There's no need for i130 gear just yet, and I hate to feel obliged to have to join in the hunts to not affect my static group.

    Again, it's one of the worst decisions made.

    But the enemies don't need scaling up. The rewards need reducing (i.e. remove Carbontwine at least) so less people do them. Adding more HP just makes it harder if it happens to be quieter (like during non-prime time).

    I'm on jenova and our hunt scene is just toxic. We have a fc who finds or is some of the first to the hunts. Then they call it out and kill just so its dead when it shows up. Then makes fun of people who didn't get there in time. I'm all for people pulling them when they want if they find it but the intentional drama and trolling not so much.

    I loved how they worked in 2.4! me and 4-6 of my friends would just go hunt down 3-5 A ranks a night, it was fun, challenging, and not just a zergfest! I miss that ; ;

    It's entertaining trying to beat Dalvag's Final Flame with only 3 people. Tornado is legit.

    Hunts were definitely better off without endgame rewards, but they could have at least added additional casual avenues to get those rewards to mitigate the wild overcrowding. Maybe they think it's fun for everyone to be jerks to each other?

    They just like to underestimate the rush mentality of the players. They need to watch some Black Friday Walmart videos or something, then transition that image to what the players are like when it comes to easy-to-do endgame upgrades. As someone who did a lot of Hunts prior to 2.5, very few from their initial launch, and only one since 2.5, the mayhem right now is enjoyable. It's like going on a safari adventure and running into territorial keyboard savages you never had a name for. "This is MY hunt!"
