If they wanted to stop the zerging it would be quite easy, keep the boost to allied seal but remove the carbon option from allied seals. Hunts would go back almost instantly to smaller groups. They would need to increase the chance of carbons from WoD though not just one from weekly to make up for it given need to get more people geared up a bit before expansion comes out.
No, not the answer, leave the rewards as is. All they have to do is increase the defense/and or the hp of the marks. Just increasing the defense/hp may solve the problem on high-pop servers where there are armies of people killing each and every hunt. But it gimps the small party that happens across an A-rank during off hours on a low-pop server.
A better solution would be a semi-scaling hp depending on how many people that was in combat with the mark. If more people join during combat, the monster's max hp would jump up but the monster would stay at the same % current health before people hopped in.


A bad solution that when the hunt rush dies down can be used for griefing instead.
Just imagine being in a full party trying to take down an A-rank and a troll hoard comes along and tags the mob..
That A-rank that you could have taken down in minutes at most suddenly got such a boost that you'll be there for much longer.
Come with suggestions that can't be used for griefing...

Isn't there already easier ways to troll hunts?
Like constantly taunting the target so that it's AOE/swipe abilities kill the squishies? Or worse, taunt and reset the mark?



taunt doesn't work on hunt targets.

Didn't read through every single comment on this thread, so forgive me if i'm recovering old ground.
Square Enix, please increase the amount of health that a hunt has. I realise this is a hunt system where we won't get every single one, but it looks like their health hasn't been scaled up for everyone being higher than i100 nowadays. KTHXBYE![]()


SE take out the books, hunts fixed.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
