    Incoming Heal indicator

A lot of Scholars seem very set on micromanaging their pets' heals, which in some ways defeats the purpose of having a pet. However, it's pretty understandable, because otherwise, it's difficult to avoid unintentionally healing the same player as your pet. Same applies with two healers in a group.

One way to help would be if the party bars indicated when a member was being healed. It could do so by showing the estimated amount of the heal on the health bar, in a different color.

Somewhat related, it would be nice if the party bars indicated when a player was out of range of heals. As a healer, it's difficult to be watching everybody's bars, AND staying out of green goop, AND paying attention to where everyone is at all at the same time. It would be very helpful for a player's bar to gray out somewhat when out of range.

Along the same lines, abilities do this on hotbars by having the mana cost numbers turn red when you're outside the ability's range. That's nice, but not enough. The entire icon should turn red or grey out or some other sufficiently noticeable visual cue.

Furthermore, if it's the icon for a macro, it should indicate out-of-range based on what the macro is targeting, not (necessarily) based on the player's current target. For instance, if I have a macro that's supposed to heal my mouseover target, and I'm currently mousing over a player in the party list who's out of range, then the icon for that macro should turn red as long as I'm mousing over that player.

Of course, that brings us to the issue of conditional macros. It would be SO much nicer if we had conditionals we could use in macros, instead of having to create macros that constantly spit out error messages. IF/THEN statements would let us have more effective mouseover macros, help/harm macros... a lot more options.

I miss all of these features from World of Warcraft... even though I don't miss WoW. So please add these features to a game I really DO want to play!

Honestly as some one who Mains both tank and healer, this is something i would love to see as well, it really would help those moments where the tank drops low in health and may use their high end defensive skills in a panic when they had a huge heal incoming already to fix the issue.

well, eos/selene always hard target them first, before getting off a heal, so you can see and hear the little targetting swoosh thing
beyond that, this doesnt exist currently

Arcanists and Summoners get an intermediate option, where they can just tell their pet which mob to attack without having to specify every individual action it takes. For scholars, it's all or nothing, so they have to micromanage everything or have no control at all, because Sic cannot target players or friendly NPCs, not even for a healer's fairy. I wish that were fixed, and we could Sic our fairy on the tank, knowing that means we have to take care of anyone else who gets hurt ourselves.

This would be difficult, as a macro can have multiple different targets. (In fact, one of the common uses for such macros is directing a skill towards either your target or target's target, whichever is appropriate to the skill type.)

This one in particular, SE has said they won't do because it makes macros too powerful. They don't want macros to let players run their characters essentially as bots. It's why we don't have conditionals and why the wait command is deliberately non-efficient for GCD skills.

I agree with you that better indicators of who's in range would be good. It's especially a problem with AoE skills that don't even get the MP/TP indicator changing color because they're not dependent on what's targeted.

I too like WoW's system of showing us what's about to be healed. Would be great to see it here.

That would be really cool! It would even help in solo play since I sometimes squash my own renew as a white mage, when instead I could heal someone else.

It would be cool if shielding effects like Stoneskin also showed up as an "incoming" heal in maybe a third color.
