Character Restriction

Hi GMT+8 player here, I just returned to XIV and was looking to roll on the Tonberry server after doing a lot of research about where an Aussie should go. My biggest problem at the moment is trying to get past that pesky Creation restriction for new characters.

I stayed up from midnight till 6am trying to get onto the server but at no point would it let me make a character here. Is there a particular time and day of the week that the population is at its lowest?

me and my friends made ours between 7am and 1pm, we are from Melbourne, so GMT+10 so adjust for yourself i guess

Lowest pop times would be around 2am to 5am your time (that's when most of the people are asleep). Perhaps you were just unlucky.

I will just have to be vigilant and become nocturnal until it gets done haha.

Night 2, midnight to 5am. Still no sign of Tonberry letting up. I am officially a zombie, may lord have mercy on my busy days.

For me, I managed to get in jp time 7am. Midnight to 2am will still be pretty busy tbh.

Nah I use the ingame refresh every 3 minutes.

At the moment im up from 1am JP - 8am JP trying to get on. Must just be real busy with people on holidays n stuff.

OP wake up at an early-ish time on a weekday and make your character . I don't know if the transfers are restricted by time however.
