Bonus coffers with mobs guarding them should be removed from the game

There are often bonus coffers that require to kill a few mobs to get. The problem is that nobody ever get them. Even as a tank, I get yelled at for opening them. Frequently nobody in my party will follow me when I go for a bonus coffer. They'll just stay there and yell at me instead.

Because some elitists decided that they personally don't want to open these coffers, then nobody does. They decided that. It doesn't matter whether the items can potentially be useful or not, or if coffers contain certain items that can't be found anywhere else in the entire game. Elitists do not care about that. They order you to skip them.

So my solution is to just remove these kind of coffers from the game entirely. Just put coffers on the main paths instead.

This is a strategy I use to good results. Even with monsters guarding them they can't kill you before you open the chest and receive the contents. You suffer a little armor damage, but worth it if you're looking for a particularly item because if it drops its yours uncontested.

And if you don't mind the longer queue time, you can go undetected using Hide.

Nope. They break your hide. Only seems to work in lower levels. Tried it in AK at one point and the moment I was in range got aggroed.

I ran WP for my Zodiak quest and made out like a bandit. Can you say, NIN,DRG,MONK, BArD,Smn,and Sch. relic starters!! lol I went back thru the DF on heals, the Mobs melt like butter, easy gil.

I don't agree all the time with Ellatrix, but that's exactly what should be done in this case.

Build a premade party of friends/fc members who won't mind opening them.

Go with the flow.
Use Elitrix strat if you have Elitistrix in the group, get coffers normal way with non synched players in the group.
Don't let simple things bother you.
