    Why I Hate Daily Quest

Daily quest were designed to allow players to make some progress in the game without spending too much time. In addition, it provides an incentive to constantly log in every day to visit the game, which promotes a habit of playing consistently.

On the flip side, if you miss a daily quest, it feels like you've wasted an opportunity to make some easy progression in the game. Missing out on multiple dailies, makes me not want to play the game at all.

Now, when I say "dailies" I don't mean dailies with your daily leve allowances. Those are reasonable. If you happen to not want to play for a week or so, you can always splurge on the weekend with your extra allowances. But none of the other "dailies" runs on an allowance system.

Can we have different allowances on different dailies?

If anyone recalls, the first Christmas event, Starlight Celebration, in 1.0 also ran on an daily allowance system... with those bells. This meant, if you were paying for the game at the time of the event, and couldn't have gone to do the daily for it, it would save up your credit to a certain amount before it caps out. This however was never implemented into ARR, all our daily special events, requires you to do it on the day of or you miss out. E.G. the previous Starlight Celebration (2014).

Daily Quest are repeatable quest which can only be completed once every 24 hour cycle, which the cycle resets every day at 10am EST (11am EDT).
It is possible to do some of the dailies back to back, such as the beastmen crafting dailies. If you held onto yesterday's credit for them, you could do them the next day and still grab the new dailies for it.

However, for other dailies, like Morbid Motivation, you can not do this. Completion of Morbid Motivation would count for that day's daily. So if you were holding onto that quest from yesterday, and completed it the next day, you can not grab another one yet until the next 24 hour cycle.
Daily is a great way to progress in the game with minimal effort.
    • Short completion time*
    • Extra rewards
    • Some are also solo-able
    Let's say you want alexandrites

You might do Morbid Motivation which gives you 1 Mysterious Map. It turns into 1 Alexandrite. This will take you roughly 30 to 40 minutes to complete the dungeon, and less than 5 minutes to complete the map.

Hunts, you can gather up to 200 allied seals, which is full credit kills of 5 A ranks. Depending on the time of day and which windows are open, this might take between 1 to 2 hours. The hunts also drops soldiery* tomes (or the uncapped tome of the current patch...) which you would buy Mysterious Maps with, 400 soldiery tomes for 1 map.

You can grind for soldiery tomes by speed running dungeons to buy your map as well. Assuming each run will take less than 30 minutes, it might take about 2 hours to get enough tomes for 1 map.

And if you're crazy enough to play with the RNG on FATEs for alexandrites... well you might get one between 1 to 4 hours.
