The hunt craze will probably level off a bit in a week or two, like the Eternal Bond reservations. Catching the hunt targets will still be tough, but much more reasonable - even prior to the 2.5 adjustments, S ranks on Excalibur were going down within 45 seconds of a pull.
If I were to suggest a temporary fix though:
1. Hunt targets will be invulnerable for the first 3 minutes after they appear on the open world map. Targets under invulnerable status during this period are surrounded by a circular aetherial barrier effect, similar to the round barrier surrounding players prior to the start of a guildleve.
2. Certain elite marks are able to use effects (cooldown buffs) which make them harder to kill. Your target may use these effects based on how fast its HP has depleted, the number of opponents - or even after a set time.
- For example, when Garlok reaches 50% HP and 20% HP, damage dealt by Garlok will be increased by 20% each time and stacking to 20% extra damage, but this does not occur if at least 2 minutes have elapsed when the HP checkpoint is reached.
- Some will apply a 20% damage reduction for 45 seconds each time they are hit by a DoT, with a 90 second cooldown.
- Other marks can heal themselves: each time 20% of HP is lost, the target will heal itself up to 10% of total HP depending on how fast the HP was lost, up to five times (50% total HP).
- Another mark might have a "DPS check" mechanic that heals 50% of a target's HP every 5 minutes, making it much harder or impossible to kill the hunt target if you can't finish it off in time.
Ahh ok yea that makes sense, I can totally see how this snap shots him in a negative light.
I hope Ophies info isnt true haha, its a sad time when the leader of this game gets trolled by the very people he is working hard for.
But hey, this is the internet age of brave keyboard warriors, so it would not suprise me![]()

SE:
Please patch Guildwork client and ban those using it.
That is all.
Thanks.

All this complaining about Guildworks reminds me of FFXIV App and its Radar plugin, which is still working fine to this day. Much like FFXIVApp, Guildworks has been around for a while now and is just now catching attention because of hunts (just like FFXIVApp).
I will be very surprised if SE is able to patch or even bans anyone for using it unless that person is blatantly bragging about it in-game, much like how no one ever gets banned for using ACT unless they start harassing people about their DPS numbers.

Guildwork is "one of" the problem +1
I have some Guildwork free LS. Sometimes, when I find the A rank, usually melt who is @ east shroud where everyone hates to go there, I will announce @ my Guildwork free LS. Then, I can wait up to 5-10 mins for ppl to gather... no one will find the melt. Until I announced the location @ "contaminated" LS... then bunch shouts will come up and chaos came...
people can get the location of the target so easily that's why they DON"T CARE. They don't care people blist them, they don't care how hard to find this mob, they don't care there might be ppl's friends coming (they don't even care about friends).

Yeah, I agree it sucks with this rush, but at the same time it is somewhat fun.
As long as the trend continues with having the upgrade material for current highest ilvl items appear up in hunts, carbontwine and carboncoat.
Then there will always be an early influx of people doing hunts no matter what.
It isn't even about the tomes as you could see, the weekly (poetics) tome drops is still next to nil. And I highly doubt a lot of people are actually doing it for the uncapped (soldiery) tomes, even though that was increased in 2.5 though it wasn't mentioned.
Sure, the extra soldiery tomes increase for A ranks from 20 to 30 might help people progress their alexandrites a little bit faster, but overall, I don't think they are gathering for that alone...

In term of sharing information, TS is no different from GW. GW work better because it doesn't require annoying ts voice all speaking at once, which is SUPER ANNOYING. Both are the same, someone find the mob, report it, people go to mob and kill it. GW system itself does nothing without people feeding it data, same as ts.

People on Tonberry wait somewhat, I don't particularly follow hunts but every time I have run to fight a mark with my BF we can produce enough damage/enmity to receive full participation.
OP, maybe you could try some A ranks in the morning? It is SUPER hard finding a lot of people to do an A rank in the morning sometimes.

The irony of this all is that just a week ago, these fights actually took a bit of time, and it was nice and friendly, if a bit slow. People waiting for others to show up.
Making it where the Soldiery is so great that people don't have to step foot in a dungeon again, as well as make it where people can reach ilvl 130 by avoiding all other content within the game, and SHABAM! Lord of the Flies unfolds with grown men playing cat girls and all sorts of non-hilarity that ensues in the waking carnage. I've witnessed people threatening to GM for people pulling "early", full on harrassment, and other childish things that would have a GM handing out suspensions to at least a few people each pull.
At this rate, it's gonna be a waiting game for either SE to "fix" things, people unsub since patch is old, or wait for the Dick Dastardly types to get their free ilvl 130 and ruin some other part of the community. Maybe all three, depending on how lethargic the devs are over Heavensward crunch.
Legacy Player and XI Vet, always willing to help those in need.
I am the Dork Knight, the tank you need for DF ques, but not the tank you deserve.
