    The whole point of floating combat text is to display the most important information without having to read a chat log while you are trying to fight, i feel parry is important information just like an evade is and would like it displayed as such.

    Don't know if anyone has already mentioned it, but I assume one reason why they didn't put in a "Parry" on screen message is because unlike "Evade" and "Miss" they avoid all damage, where as you can parry and still receive damage.

    So I guess it would have to show both the damage and the parry message at the same time, which may be a totally new program they would have to put in to the game's mechanics.

    I'm not sure it would be all that intensive to change. I mean they've already got the system set up for showing the 3D battle text, as well as multiple messages at once (your damage, damage both to and from every single enemy engaged, misses/evades, etc...) which can happen simultaneously. Having the word Parry show up above the number doesn't seem like it would be all that difficult to add considering they've already got the condition for damage to show up when parried.
