I appreciate your inputs, everyone. Thanks. And yes the dummy bit was short - I think around 45 seconds to a minute was all. Most boss fights are a lot longer so I'll go for 5 next time.

On the healer bit, that was HPS, not individual tags. My individual heals do averaghe around there with crits going into the 2ks, which with the crits definitely helps the HPS. Also, as SCH I was calculating in total healing, which for us includes Eos, so she also contributes to HPS as far as my calculations went. But I am going to veer from that because I didn't want a bard thread to turn healer. LOL Sorry, my fault there.

I did decide to take a back seat on Bard for a week and do more research and stick to healing for the time being, but I plan to keep doing my best to get a rotation that will pass the DPS checks of the parties I have been joining. Thanks for staying positive and constructive with the feedback XD

Why bother with this discussion? You can clearly see parsers used in progression kill videos from top end raid groups. If you're not using the information collected from a parser to belittle random people in PF and DF groups I'm sure everything will be alright.

Okay well I definitely do not wish to belittle or flame or shame. I am just trying to improve a class I am not that good with, which I'd rather admit, "Hey! I suck at this" and ask for help. I'm no mod or admin here but I would like to remind you as a fellow player that we all share the same virtual world in this game, and we are on the same side. This isn't a competition, so please don't start flaming over personal opinion when all I am trying to do is improve.

Basically my goal is that, if I ever find myself fighting along your side, I can actually help you instead of hinder you.

@Coldea - 2k on Physick is common for crits, and with the right buffs and rotation, along with buffs from teammates, those crits happen quite often. Normal Physick hits for between 1000 and 1500, and the crits on a good run happen every few casts. The buffs Eos gives definitely help there as well. Now back to the Bard . . .

A mate from my FC volunteered to run through some practice with me tomorrow, so I am hoping multiple heads put together can help.

I think that OP is confusing DPS with the actual damage he does on the striking dummy.
maybe that 500 DPS was just a CH-Heavy Shot

... but I just got kicked out of two parties in a row - 1 Garuda Extreme and 1 Odin - for not doing high enough numbers in DPS (their words, not mine), and it was embarrassing.

Sheesh. Is that the norm on Phoenix server? Parties monitoring your DPS via 3rd Party Apps and kicking you if you don't meet a certain DPS # they think you should?

Also, unless you have low acc. dont use hawk's eye, it just increases your acc. rating. Its nice to mix it in as filler but not really needed.

No offence...but you should....probably not comment on rotations when you have no idea what the abilities do.

Don't see it mentioned here but your first macro is a dps no-no. GCDs in macros trigger slower as you can not queue them (press the button slightly before the timer is up and ability will still go off immediatly when available). Buffs in macros to save space is a little more acceptable but for fine control you are better off having them separated out.
