Ok, so I just got this game a few days ago. I haven't really gotten to far but I've noticed that there aren't a lot of people running around in the server. . at least when I am on. I played ffxi for a few short months (granted, very close to when it came out) and there were people everywhere. I saw the application to switch servers and I was wondering, with me being such a low level, would I benefit from moving to a server with more people (if so, suggestions) as far as quests and parties go, or just stay? In other words, would there be enough low level people to form parties with when need?

It varies. I'm usually on the longest at night between 8-12 pm EST.

Keep in mind that your server will be merging with another in about a month or so. That and things are usually pretty dead until a major patch hits (i.e. today) due to most people having cleared the content available.

Ya. What Orophin said, also a lot of people who quit playing are waiting for 2.0. So don't expect the game to be packed like FF11 was until server mergers. Most servers are in the same state ours is in and some are even worse.

Thanks so much, I guess if its merging then it won't be so bad. I just want to be able to play with people around my level.

Yes, I'm in Limsa Lominsa. To be honest, I haven't gone far out of the city yet. So. . . how might I get to Ul'dah and would I be able to get there without something whooping my low-level butt?

If your in Limsa Lominsa you just need to catch a ship from the port on the lower level to Thanalan. Once your off the boat if you travel Eastward you should come across Camp Horizon and then after a bit more walking Eastward you should come across Camp Black brush, Once you get to that camp just head South and you should arrive at Ul'dah. As for your level, you should be okay, just make sure you keep an eye out and don't cross paths with something nasty.^^

Thanks, I've found my way there though now. I'm getting more the hang off it lol. I have noticed that there are TONS more people in Ul'dah than in Limsa Lominsa and Gridania.
