You're on a smaller server - you wouldn't be able to fill credit each time during prime time on a server like Gilgamesh.I get full credit solo regularly on A-ranks.
Ignore the fact I'm a ~120 WAR with i110-130 STR accessories on spamming the best aggro-generating moves in Defiance the entire time...
Credit is enmity based, so DPS tanking with tank stance on is the best way to get credit solo
Well i know, but hunts are already a faceroll, just give the players the gear, as long as they show up and hit the mob, it will solve some problems, like harassment from people getting partial or no credit at all, it's not that they can use this gear to beat something hard or Break the overall balance, i don't even care about ilvls anymore.Actually it would. You wouldn't have as many people getting there too late and getting next to no credit. That would make a pretty big difference in the amount of people getting full rewards. It's not a negative difference necessarily, but overall a lot more points will get handed out per hunt and that means its easier for people to gear up. It does have an effect.
Oh sweet idea! Yeah! I can now show up to an S rank hunt with it at 2% HP and hit it with one arrow and get full credit. Perfect. Go for it!
Already acknowledged this one. Did you stop reading at that post or something?
There is certainly truth here. I don't think the change would be bad just pointing out that it does change things and not necessarily in a minor way when we are talking about upgrades for gear. You don't think it makes much of a difference but it drastically changes the success rate of random parties when the overall ilvl of your server is higher. Healing is easier, surviving big hits for dps and tanks is easier, and beating dps checks becomes more trivial. This is for both skilled and unskilled groups.
I actually liked the idea they did in FFXI.
Pop item trade to ???
What would be cool is if they had the same thing here, except anyone can help you only difference is no fast pull and the person who pops the monster is the person with the item and everyone who participated has a cool down for that monster.
Though problem is that if they sold items on market board they would be too much unless they added it to the grand company points the system they have now is good but I liked the ??? thing just my opinion

I know, the effect is there, it's not really bad, and i would be absolutely against it if hunts were something hard or required a min of strategy, but the reasons to not get credit are mostly coincidences, or in this case not having a party, be it because your shouts for it are being ignored, you don't have a hunt ls, or you're waiting for the DF to pop, the causes of you not getting credit are not related to difficulty, time sinks or lockouts, so it doesn't really matter nor is unfair for other players.
Although i think placing upgrade items in hunts is unfair for people getting these by others means, but once placed there, who cares.
Alternatively, they could just change this rule. Make it so DF only requires the same party when we Commence, just as we have to be on the same class/job when we Commence, but don't have to remain that way throughout the whole time we're waiting on the queue. It would take care of this issue with hunts during the queue time, and take care of the chocobo summoning issue at the same time.
I get full credit all the time as solo. Be it, A or S rank. It is easy on SMN anyway.

Also this. Why is this not in the game yet still?
Isn't that like the peiste treasure maps. Replace trade with Dig. And the monster pop and the group kills it together.
------------------
If people want to hunt they should hunt. If they want to queue on the DF they should do that. Why should they be allowed to double dip and do both at the same time and have no trade-offs or decisions to make? If you really want to be efficient with your time you need people, friends, FC, static and queue together and hunt at the same time. If you are not going to put in effort to do that and just solo stuff, it make no sense to turn group content into solo content. You don't need solo boneheads fast pulling everything just to get their quick 1 hit and run away and screw everyone else over.
