    For whatever reason the game isn't able to properly detect or report the values based on your monitor's current refresh rate. Could be the driver or something weird with the cable or ports. It also could be an issue with how the game polls the data...especially if you've set a custom rate like 75 or something other than the default rate (no exception for non-standard rate values?). Or, it could be a glitch in the code that doesn't handle reporting values based on 120Hz properly or something (if your monitor/TV is 120hz).

    I would hazard a guess that the game engine would default to 60FPS at the 1:1 setting if it doesn't get the exact refresh you are running at though, since that is sort of the de-facto standard refresh rate. Note the actual frame rate that it is currently running at though (up in the upper right corner)--it's ranging from 54 to 75 in your screen shots.

    Will have to check what mine says on the laptop when I log in later, just out of curiosity. Would be interesting to see what the PC shows too (runs at 75Hz)...but I haven't patched that thing in a long time, so won't be doing that tonight.

    Did some poking around on my laptop. It's reading the proper refresh (60Hz), and applying them properly as 60/30/15 FPS in the menu. The config file has changed up though. It now shows a value for the refresh rate, and then a value for the FPS level (0 for none, 1 for 1:1, 2 for 1:2, etc.)

    <Display Settings>
    MainAdapter
    ScreenLeft 99
    ScreenTop 62
    ScreenWidth 1600
    ScreenHeight 900
    ScreenMode 1
    FullScreenWidth 1920
    FullScreenHeight 1080
    Refreshrate 60

    You can open the file in a standard text editor (notepad, wordpad, textpad, etc.) and verify the refresh rate that is set and such. It's called FFXIV.cfg and is located in your Documents folder, under My Games, in the root of the game's folder.
