    Lightbulb [Suggestion] Restore original Shiva EX effects

    I am disappointed to see the original Shiva EX experience destroyed in 2.5. The AOE effects and visibility challenges were integral to the aesthetic and mechanics of this primal. The new "improved visibility" AOE circle look like something out of a beta test before the artists have had a chance to finish. It's ugly, it's boring and diminishes the appeal of the encounter.

    We appreciate that the development team has empathy for colorblind players but please make reduced visual modes an option instead of degrading the experience for everybody.

    I don't see this happening. There isnt that much of a difference.

    Plus there are some people that don't have perfect vision, I have problems seen the circles, it actually causes glare on my glasses specially playing at night. Then there are people that all that brightness give them health problems like headaches. These changes are the response from SE, to the people that ask many times to change the brightness. These changes which I am glad are here to stay.

    I agree with OP and would like to also suggest an opacity setting slider/options for standard AoE indicators. I am not color blind and the current indicators are too bright and make the game look ugly in my opinion. I would like to tone down these AoE indicator effects so they don't clash so much with the scenery.

    And again, SE can't satisfy everyone. SE trying to do good but ends up being bad still. You gotta give the company a break for once. But nope, you can't please everyone.

    This is why SE should not force a degraded experience on the majority to satisfy a (vocal?) minority. When necessary, the way to make everybody happy is make such degraded modes an option.

    I definitely agree that everyone should be given options instead of being forced to go along with one way or the other, but the scale of this issue isn't really balanced... For you, the changes are aesthetically ugly... But for players like me, with vision issues, certain fights in this game can be literally unplayable. Not just difficult, but totally unplayable. I'm sorry our physical handicaps displease you, but I'm not sorry that Square Enix cares about all their paying customers and about making adjustments so that all players, even those of us in a minority, can enjoy the content that majority players have already been able to enjoy from day one.

    It would be nice if they'd provide an option to toggle the visuals, but failing that, a little compassion for your fellow players might help you see more appeal in the changes too.

    Being colour blind myself, im plagued with all kinds of problems in different games, alot of developers are waking up to this and are implementing colour blind modes to help us, i've been stuck on shiva for months because i could not see the aoe and where to stand, could handle all the mechanics perfectly but when it came to the aoe bits i just couldnt react quick enough because i couldn't see the safe spots....then my first try tonight after the patch and i've cleared it.....so thank you SE for listening

    lol, I almost didnt notice this untill someone pointed it out. Its not that big of a deal and if it helps players beat the fight then it might be ok. Cleared Shiva Ex 20 times before the "NERF" lol
