    Eternal Bonding Partner Change

So a friend and I were starting the Eternal Bonding quest chain and he's not in to it at all so I was curious if I was able to partner with someone else as long as they are on the same part of the quest I am on? Or am I totally screwed into not being able to get the quest finished? Apparently there is a "divorce" option AFTER the ceremony but if I can't even get my friend to attend the ceremony... xD Any info helps! Thanks so much!

Well like I said, I know there is an option to divorce but I don't think my partner wants to do the ceremony so I was curious on if someone else were to have the same plan and get caught up to the ceremony part, if I would be able to just partner with them.

I think you have to speak with someone. Claribel maybe? The person you got the quest from initially?

Just to clarify this for you and OP, a thread about this was started about a month ago. Breaking the ring by itself will not auto-divorce you. In fact, the OP of that thread stated that the person he/she married did not willingly break their ring and were actually able to continue teleporting to their partner. I guess it was being used to grief or something...

And I believe y'all are correct about the NPC that can initiate a divorce, but OP's problem is that they never even went through with the ceremony required to initiate a divorce. Not sure there is a fix for this that I have seen.

OP, I think your best bet would be to try and talk your friend into going through with the ceremony, skipping all skippable CS and spamming past the vows/words spoken as quickly as possible so you can initiate your divorce promptly after. If he/she is that reluctant to even go through with it, I'm not sure anyone other than a GM or dev post here would be able to help you further.

    Good luck!

No, I don't think you have to go through with the whole ceremony. I believe you can end it at any time by talking with the right NPC to abandon the quest.
