    Wait as Default on Controllers

Is there a setting someplace to change this?

Pre-2.5 If I had to walk away from my PS4 while in a long queue I could easily take the controller with me and press X as soon as it dinged. Now I gotta fumble with the d-pad and hit X, which can be a little annoying if you can't see the screen.

I really don't get the whole purpose of it, honestly...
I'm like OP where if I had to go away from my Playstation, I just brought the controller with me and pressed a button when I heard it ding. The only time I went away with the controller though was with PvP or some of the CT/ST raids so I could afford to be afk on my rush back to the room.

I'd be down for it to be defaulted to "Yes" rather than a weird Wait that just kinda hurts the situation. Lemme press Wait, which is the same as pushing nothing at all...

So.. let me get this straight, you're mad because you have to press 2 buttons instead of one now while you're taking a dump and your queue pops?

I use controller too, and it's really not that hard to press the left dpad button followed by X.

Like wise, what is the point of having to press two button to make a confirmation which will likely be a "Yes" to confirm "Yes". Do PC mouse/keyboard players have to do this...?

It makes more sense to have the "ready" option take more buttons than the "not ready" option if you're forced to only give the fabled single button action to only one of the options.

If you're ready, keying in multiple actions shouldn't be an issue. If you're not ready, you may be doing something else, which would mean that keying in multiple buttons would be a much larger inconvenience to you than keying in multiple buttons when you are at the ready.

The point of this is so that people can click wait quickly, in order to finish a cut scene they may be reading or finish a task they're working on prior to accepting the queue.

OMG it has nothing to with people AFK Just blind hitting their gamepads. it's so when you are in a fight and a DF pops you don't hit withdraw by mistake.

Prior to 2.5, hitting Circle accomplished the same thing that 'Wait' does now. You just had to pop open the duty finder queue window to be able to bring it back up.

If you are fighting something, you probably are holding one of the trigger buttons down.. which makes hitting X activate the crossbar ability, even if the duty finder is up.

I don't have a problem with 'Wait' being a default, as long as I can change it. I'm sure its useful for someone, but its not for me.

A change I would have liked would be if you could walk away from a Retainer to close their window, ala talking to vendors.

One thousand times, yes. I was amazed there was no thread about this already. The "wait" is the dumbest thing ever. If you're doing something else and don't want to confirm immediately... just hit circle. We already had a completely viable way to "wait"--now we're stuck defaulting to an option that often isn't even needed--I confirm immediately way more often than I need to wait. With the default being confirm for so long, since the patch, I have found myself automatically hitting X the moment the DF pops, only to realize I've just hit wait on accident and now have to bring up the window again, move over, and then click confirm. It's an unnecessary hindrance and I seriously hope they reconsider the default or the very least give us the option to change it ourselves.
