Animus book question

After farming a set of Atma I'm working on upgrading my Omnilex for Scholar.

I'm not sure though if when doing the dungeons when do I need to equip my Omnilex Atma for credit. Do I need to have it equipped the entire run? Can I use my Book of Diamonds for the dungeon and switch to the Atma for credit on the last boss? Is there some way to run those without having to take a downgrade on my healing?

You need to have it equiped and be alive when the boss dies. There are no other requirements.

So I can just equip it for the last boss and use a better weapon for the rest of the dungeon?

Yup. Though, I would advice you to have it equiped during the entire dungeon so you don't forget it.

Yeah, it's usually best to just have your atma weapon equipped 24/7/365 whilst working on the books and not in elite content. It's not THAT much worse than your best weapon, and it'll save you the grief of having to redo dungeons.

I agree^ many times ive completed a needed fate/instance only to realize I didn't equip my relic before it finished. Repeating bites.
