iron work upgrade material from world of darkness question

they said you can get one in the tower but i have not seen it drop. none of my company has. then after you beat it you unlock a weekly? quest to get an upgrade material for iron works. is that weekly? what they meant or does the tower bosses actually have a chance to drop one?

It's actually been talked about in many many threads, but here ya go Dargon.
Weekly CT,ST,WoD Quest
You get this once you finish WoD for the first time. Unfortunately you only get the item needed to upgrade accessories for now. By 2.51 they will likely put the other item in the quest, OR make it drop from WoD. But until that time, you will be restricted to doing HUNTS to get it, or Final Coil.

The weekly quest is probably what they meant. They did mention that it would be a separate lock out for equips and the carbon.

neither upgrade component drops from WoD, only way to get them is from the weekly quest you can unlock after beating WoD for the first time. Atm you can only get the upgrade component for accessories/shield, I'd imagine that with 2.51 or 2.55 that they'll add the other component for upgrading armor/weapons to the weekly quest, either along side it, or as a select your reward.

I don't believe the items have been included in the loot lists this time around. IIRC, oils/sands weren't introduced until a little while after ST was implemented, and they were on the same weekly lock. The implementation of the upgrade items will probably follow suit time wise but I also believe it was stated that they will be on a separate lock out.

As of now the only way to get it from the Crystal Tower is through the weekly quest.
