Tanked yesterday my first time WoD, had fun on see someone already bitching about "know the fight". I guess today I will be kicked out if haven't see some video before join, and tomorrow ragequits at first wipe.

Lols had lots of this yesterday already at the Odin trial.....one or two and done because, "you guys suck" or "know the fight"

Ran into one of those in my first run WoD (as MNK) just before maintenance. Alliances didn't get all the "worms" result: Bad Breath; during the hexagons: I, and two others were out of position+heavy'd, got caught outside resulting in a near wipe (WHM lb'd; got CoD to 1% but still wiped; 12min before maintenance). Guy (also MNK) singled me out and kept ragging on me with "put down the chips/you can't afk/it so easy".

Tanking the shade being thrown my way in hopes that it'd stop his rant he shut up until we flawlessly downed CoD and I got "Demon Chestpiece of Striking", then he started up with his BS saying that the "phenom of ffxiv gets the loot". Thankfully my Alliance had my back the whole way.

TL;DR - I for one am open to genuine help esp. with new content and first time (occasional refresher too), but if they're ranting will attempt to keep harmony until victory has been taken then commendations be damned.

Well, I try to be nice when giving people advice (i've been playing so long the only thing I get chided for is forgetting to throw up a song once in a while) but I do opt for an "I told you so" approach.
Like today, we were running one of the new dungeons (I did them consecutively and was half asleep so I can't remember which one exactly.) for the first time for me and 2 of the people. The guy who actually knew the fights told us EXACTLY what to do to avoid the evil debuff kill laser of doom on the first boss. Yet the other DPS and healer just stood their while it killed them. Then the healer said I should've used the healer LB. At 40% with no healer.
The DRG's LB wouldn't been a better choice...had he taken the time to avoid the laser too.
Thankfully the healer got the message.
Oddly enough *I* got a commendation on that run while the tank, the guy who explained every fight to us, got diddily poop. I didn't give out my commendation because the tank and I were grouped and I don't reward lack of listening/reading skills. If the healer hadn't made that comment to me he probably would've got it though :P

I tell them to stop or I'll vote kick. Every time. I usually run with the same 5-6 people and we all feel the same way.

I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to harassment (or rather, a one warning policy). I will gladly sacrifice the raid, try and complete it with one person short if I must, or just re-que if the "harassee" is on the same server.

Reporting them is usually a bluff, but I'll gladly take time out of my game time to do that as well.

If you want someone to listen to you, stop addressing them like they are some NPC. That BARD, DRG, TANK etc. has a name and is much more likely to listen to you if you use it.

I believe this as well. Of course, some people take offense at that, too. Story time. I was in a dungeon once, and I noticed that the tank kept losing hate. Quick glance showed me that he didn't have shield oath up. So i said "hey tank, I think you forgot Shield oath," but he ignored me and aggro was still all over the place. So I used his name instead, and asked him to use shield oath. He gets angry. "Has anyone died?" Eventually he did use it, but after the first boss he decided to go afk instead of continuing the dungeon - after chewing me out for calling his tanking abilities into question - particularly by using his name.

you have no right to tell anyone how to play.

Unfortunately you do by the first amendment. However that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. I would recommend that everyone read some Dale Carnegie "How to Win Friends and Influence People" to feel better equipped to deal with these types of situations no matter which perspective.

Reminds me... at one point was in bray HM tank pulled the stuff b4 2nd boss, already hate hate issues before and also lost aggro on that pull while I tried to outheal (got interupts due to attacks >.>). We wiped tank insulted me in some way as a stupid healer and after I told him his aggro is more the issue he obviously tried to votekick me for saying that (was qd with a friend) Vote didnt pass (random dps also didnt see issue on my side )
People really dont like if you tell em they do sth wrong... had sth alike in t6 on monday (I seriously couldnt get a single DF kill out of 10 tries) after 2 wipes someone told the 1 person that did group LOS other than rest of party which did single LOS (i tend to just adjust as ppl arent able to clear up before pull lol [ever seen those 5 mins ticking down when u ask "which strat we do?" before the usual "tell u us which"? - and in the end u see 3 different]). The person that was talked to just went "Cba group is crap" and rq the instance...

Don't tell them what to do? I know it might be hard for you not to force your ideal play styles on others, but give it a try.
