I completely see how making future clothes not restricted as apposed to focusing on retroactively making old clothes that way, is a good idea. I dislike gender locking, but understand that some solutions to that may be impractical.

As far as the people that say things along the lines of "I don't want to see that, so you shouldn't have it." It seems very silly to me that people should be restricted in what they wear, because others don't want to see it. I realize we are in a society and that requires compromise, but telling people they can't wear something because you don't want to see it seems insane. I dislike the color pink, but I do not tell people they cannot wear pink because I don't like it. ALSO as many people have pointed out there are already "feminine" clothes that males can wear in the game; that's not ruining the game. I would simply like there to be MORE things along those lines (and visa versa for "masculine" clothes).

To the people who say "It's not your game, its the devs game, if you wanted that kind of game make it yourself" REALLY?! no, it is not my game, but I am a player in it, and am expressing what I would like to see. I get annoyed at tab targeting in this game sometimes, should I go create a whole new game that tab targets just they way I like? It is impractical to suggest that everytime I would like to see something change or be different, that I go create a new game.

I'm all for this (as well as an expansion of it unlocking the racial starter gear and racial hempen sets). Both because there are several neat-looking garments that would look just right together with the rest of my glamour, and because I'm generally opposed to the idea of "women get a gazillion fashion options, men get the choice of a red or a blue tie".

And the argument "if you want to wear X item, change gender".... Just... what? So if I want to do a glamour with the Lightning top and the Snow trousers.... I should... change gender to what? (Yes, picked those two because they were at the top of my head for gender-locked items.) First of all, plenty who want the options want them for RP reasons, or to complement their current character. How is telling them to change their entire character for that one thing fair? Secondly, that involves a real-life cost every time you want a new 'gender-bending' glamour. Even if the glamour shouldn't really be gender-bending. And thirdly, it makes no sense at all if the glamour they want contains some items locked for male and some locked for female (maybe a bit of a stretch, especially as there aren't that many locked to female characters, but still).

I'm really grateful they added the plain skirt for guys. I am. That's one step closer to something like choice equality. No, not gender equality (though that's something I'd like to see). Choice equality. If guys get to choose between A, B and C, and can't pick D and E, then girls shouldn't get to choose from all of them. And yes, while it annoys me to admit it, I'd even be happier to see more male-only gear than to keep the ratio the way it has been so far. (Not nearly as happy as unlocking everything, of course.)
