Well I think I'm finished with this discussion, I don't think my English is good enough to explain myself well enough or that the people here are determinate to judge and insult others even when it's about a video game. butehthat'stheinternet

Anyway I'll say again, I'm all for the OP proposition and do hope SE will at least think of it. You're welcome to come laugh at me and my fabulous skirt if you see me on Ultros or in duty (y)

Well I didn't mean to sound obnoxious in the least, English isn't my first language so I apologies if that made me sound like a jerk. Just that people tend to forget about that fact. So people who don't like it can only blame SE I suppose.

People seem to be opposing this simply because you would not in everyday society see a man wearing a dress or girly clothing. Even barring something like the Spring Dress, would it actually be bad if a man wore a Lady's yukata or vice versa? Would something like the guardian corps top look that bad on a guy? Even the swimwear... I don't get why they're m/f locked when they could just be the same item with the separate graphics for both anyway... I mean the hempen camise is different graphics for different races and people love the Highlander Hyur look, but it's restricted... And seriously that looks rather like what guys get for swimwear anyway... So really... It's sad to see them locked...

Can I ask an honest question? Why would a guy want to have his male character run around in a dress? (or run around in his underpants for that matter). Is it just for childish shock value? Help me out here.

As I explained earlier, some men just like to wear women's clothes, and I know many female players like girly men characters as well. Its just a thing that some people enjoy. Some for shock value, some because they genuinely enjoy it. I can say that personally that I do not enjoy the aesthetic of men in effeminate clothing, but I know some people do and that's okay.

I'm not actually a guy in real life, but I play a male character and I enjoy making him look pretty. I don't necessarily want to have him crossdress all the time, but I'd like the option, because really, compared to the wedding dress the tux is boring. It also makes little sense to gender lock some dresses to male characters, considering how many DoM bodies are functionally dresses; Vanya, Scylla's robe, White Mage Artifact gear is literally a dress with underwear, both the caster and healer i100 and i110 PvP gear look like ballgowns...so what's the point telling male characters they can wear SOME dresses, but not others?

I want to see the biggest, burliest MRoe ever made in the Gold Saucer bunny outfit.

There's a few cute and elegant dresses I wish I could put on my character at times, also there are mens clothes like Snow's coat that I know some want on their characters.

Overall, it might be somewhat of a programming hassle to make all past clothes unisex, I just would like to see the ones in the future take such consideration in mind. I don't see a problem with that.

Crescent Moon Pants that we currently have now, which have ribbon on it, can wear by male. PvP top gear for SMN/SCH that looks like princess dress, can wear by male too. So...
