    melee in large fight are always in a trouble, because they can't do brainless dps as usual, but need to stay with their group, protect the healer, and peeling ..usually, as a sch, i stay back, but in a couple of frontline, i found some drg and nin that know how to play properly, i follow them into the enemy team, they protect me all the time, and i heal them all the time, we together destroy the entire team, and no one of us die..it was amazing! best frontline ever! a good melee can do the difference, the truth is there's many , many ,many braindead melee in pvp, run away alone into the enemy group and think they are immortal lol

    They seem rather replaceable by a STR spec'd tank.

    I've only be playing Slaughter as healer, first because Flames never have enough heals, and second because otherwise I would go as MNK and I just know I wouldn't last long unless we have a decent among of melee.
    As WHM I can obviously see that the lone melee (and tanks) in our party that decide to go attack because he ain't gonna stay behind the whole fight, get targeted and focused first, which is logical, but such an inconvenient.
    If you have multiple melee attacking together that would be the idea? but if you're alone then I hope you have heals that can react quickly. Talking of the middle the ADS also seem to hurt melee a lot? which make things even worse. Like with the other FL, if you try to beat the mob you're just offering yourself to mage and their LB.

    after finally gettin a few runs i gotta say the the slaughter mode frontlines needs alot of nerfing otherwise no1 is gonna be goin by the end of the week.. really dont know why we needed individual limit breaks n wth does bard get another healing 1?? we arent healers ffs ._. imo should remove individual n leave the limt breaks how it was to begin with more balance instead of 10 mages sleeping then comet spamming all at once lmao

    To fix the problem:
    1: change Slaughter so that the mobs don't immediately spawn in the middle at the start of the match. That works for secure but not for this, as killing other players is the name of the game, so of course you would stay in the middle to do just that, where all of the players are.
    2: change all of the 'adrenaline' gauge DPS abilities to be more balanced. The level of damage it does now was fair in secure when it was shared amongst the whole group, but now it's no longer fair at all. Basically casters can do a massive amount of damage to large group of people. You need only 2 caster LB's with sleep effecting the group to take out a whole pile of melee fighting a mob, while the melee limit break can only take out one person at a time. Sure, you can use the melee LB on the drones you are fighting, but not when you're dead from the casters.

    So basically yeah I agree with Evangela's post. I just added some more reasoning.

    The en-masse caster limit break abuse is going to get caster LB nerfed.

    Unfortunate because such coordination imo is rightfully rewarding, but it's simply too exploitable atm. 72 man slaughters are ending in 5minutes due to 1 alliance steamrolling with full caster dps setups.

    Slaughter mode sucks. Period. Even putting the (horrific) balance aside, it's a zerging faceroll fest with minimal mobility or tactics. Do your daily roulettes, then queue secure mode, and we can all get back to proper PvP.

    It is nice for vit spec healers with the HP MP buff you are well over 6k. Its like a beacon one match i got hit by 10 cometeors in a row. They hit consistently for 2k. But melee adrenaline rush only hits for under 3k. It doesn't add up when people group up. Now I am not sure how blm and smn bars fill. But I saw one go off after less then a min of being up top.

    Someone one was doing math about range. Range can cover at least 33% of the top if not closer to half. I can heal from my ramp to mid to just about other team ramps.
